Compressor Outlet Elbow
Working on my IC piping and I'm trying to decide what type of turbo elbow to run on the outlet of my compressor. I have a T04S housing so it has a 2.5" out and the IC of course is 2.75". Does anyone make a 2.5" to 2.75" 90 deg. coupler or cast elbow? What other options do people run?

I bought a samco 90 degree bend hose that is perfect for what you're looking for---it's good for up to 40 psi, and has a 2.5 inch diameter opening on one end and a 2.75 inch on the other.
I may actually be selling it, I just have to get my fmic installed and see what kind of angle I'm dealing with. If you can wait a week, I'll let you know. |
Sounds good. Let me know Ryan

ATP Turbo has what you might be looking for:
http://www.atpturbo.com/Merchant2/gr...LM-007_450.jpg I use one of these and I took a 2.75 hose to it. To make it fit over the elbow, I cut a 1 inch strip from a 2.5 hose. The 2.75 hose fits perfectly over the top of it and now it mates to the 2.75 aluminum IC tubing. |
2.5" to 2.75" turbohoses strait coupler attached to 90 aluminum pipe if your outlet is strait up. You may have clearance issues with the strut bar. Mine is clocked that way and I used an Efini air pipe (from the Y-pipe kit) cutting off the flange for clearance.

Hey Fritts, I'm probably going to end up keeping my samco hose. I bought it from www.CarV2.com and was very happy with the service :)

I also use the Samco 2.5 to 2.75. Good item. I also tried another brand turbo_____. All they did was send me a 2.75 90 elbow and a small piece of 2.5 to slide under the 90 on the turbo side. Bad idea for mid to high boost. I blew it off on the dyno at 23psi. Talk about being scared!
