BW Turbo Question...

I was wondering if anyone has been running the Borg Warner S372 or S374 with the T4. I see that everyone goes with the T6 and I would like to know if anyone has dyno numbers for the T4 frames? Thanks

I think the S300 series are mostly T4. I could be mistaken... And the S400's are the T6 monsters..

What turbo did u use to accomplish your 654hp, and at what psi and fuel... Guess i'm asking for a brief run down of your setup.

I used to be under the same impression, but when I bought my turbo it was sold to me as a S475, with the race cover, 74.5mm compressor wheel and a devided T4 flange. I am thinking that maybe the first number has to do with the size of the turbine wheel and not the flange? I purchased it from a local shop here who is a dealer for borg warner (It did not come from bulleyes racing where I think they have their own nomenclature). Since then I have done some research on the interweb and have found many S475 turbos for sale with T4 flanges here is an example http://www.turbomustangs.com/smf/ind...?topic=76179.0 . So it would be nice to understand the nomenclature a little better. Anybody ???

I made 654whp with the Greddy T88H @ 29psi, this was with c116, motor was fully bridged, studded, clearence with the stock upper and lower intake and 4x1600cc injectors, etc

I have changed up my motor and intake setup since, and figure its time to upgrade the Turbo, hence I'm looking for some numbers with the T4. Im not going T6 flanged as I have no desire to change out the entire manifold.....

Some dyno numbers from others would be great:-)

I have a S375 with a T4 1.25 a/r turbine housing. I'm going to be building the manifold soon... Just waiting on parts :)

Most of them are T4 housings, but you can get the larger S400 series with T6 also. I would stick with the T4, you dont really need to go bigger unless you run a peripheral port. Even then its not necessary.

well if your looking at upgrading the turbo, ie making more power then i would go for a s475 if you not gonna go with a t6 version, choose a t4 version with a 1.25 rear end to help it flow the best it can at the top end, will help over come the smaller t4 a bit

I'm not gonna enjoy payin for a custom t6 but it'll be worth it w/ my 475
