Sorry all i made a type, i mean the bw s366 not 466

Hello all, wanted to hear opinions if a bw s366 sxe is too big for my 400-450 rwhp power goals? I will be running it with a divided set up and dual gates. All opinions appreciated

Is there a specific reason your looking at the 66mm rather then the 62 or 64mm? Very nice turbo, I am about to use one, but there is no need to go to the 66mm if 400 to 450whp is you max goal. The 8376 will get you there and should spool great. The 8776 will get you there with no problem what so ever.

Even a sub-60mm compressor will get you there.

A TDX57R is the best bang for buck in that power range IMO. But even a hybrid series 5 can achieve 400rwhp if set up right.

I went with a 366sxe on my 20b.... Aiming for high 500s

the amount of turbo mismatches continues to amaze me. while i wouldn't necessarily expect many to do too much research, most of what is needed is available by spending a half hour in our Single Turbo Section.

turbos have evolved flow-wise so your grandmothers 66 isn't quite what the BW 13009097056 is today.... (call it the 7056).

i own a 7056 and consider it to be the sleeper of the SXE line as it has a 52 Trim (favoring midrange spool) yet has the same comp exducer as the EFR9180!

the SXE 66 shud max out on a rotary at 659 RWHP SAE. 676 if you want to inflate the numbers using STD correction.

650 pretty much does it for me but add in the midrange and you have a bargain priced winner.

as to the original poster looking for 400/450, this isn't your turbo. go with the SXE 62 P/N 130009097056 w the 76 mm hotside and a .91 housing.

you could also go w a regular S300 60. P/N 177272 or 177280 and accomplish your power objective.

i call it the SXE 8374. using the EFR naming system. it was my 2nd choice. but i found my 1st choice....
i own the SXE 7670. 57mm compressor and am hoping to hit right to the 400 mark, but with amazing 400 tq by 4500( expected) im sure you know of blue TII who did 400 by 4k rpm on the efr 7670.

the TDX57R is about the same, if not later spool/ lil more power. 7670 SXE hasnt been run by anyone yet, but the numbers say it will choke by 5.5k rpm.

considering your objective you made a good decision.

just for the record if you have a 60, you own a

S300 SX3.

the smallest SXE is a 62 and is not the best fit for your target.
