Bw 9180 efr turbo.. Need help on back housing options

In the market for a bw 9180 efr turbo.. Having a hard time deciding on what back housing to get.. Reading all 9180 post here on the forums and on the full race web page the 1.45 looks real good with only 200 rpm over the 1.05.

What do you guys think? The hp goal of my car is 600/650whp whp with the best spool possible...

Current setup on the car is s366 with .91 twin scroll housing..... I know for the s366 to get in the 600 whp range the turbo need a bigger back housing...

1.05 AR housing.

Check with Turblown. They are big in the EFR turbos and rotarys and would have tons of Dyno info to point you to the right turbo.

With a large 9180 I doubt the housing is going to be a big factor with such a large compressor wheel. I would think the best would be a .91 IWG to increase spool in the lower rpms and the efficient large turbine wheel won't need a huge turbine housing.

You do know that the EFR turbo's have a "matchbot" that will match the turbine for the boost pressure you want to run. This will size the turbine for you and see if you can get X spool by Y rpm.

I can say for sure that the transient throttle response of the 1.45 a/r rear on the 9180 is no where near as good as the 1.05 rear.
Fullboost seems to be very close/similar on the road but the boost leading up to the point is not as good. Off boost response is not as good either.

the turbine wheel and housing are a system together. as an example a .83 T3 9180 flows more than a .83 T3 8374. The T3 .83 9180 also flows more air than a 1.05 T4 divided 8374.

You want to run the smallest turbine housing that will work for the power levels that you need and don't exceed the wastegate.

I would run the T4 .91 twin scroll 9180. Matchbot says the .91 A/R at 30 PSI will work just fine and at the higher rpms you will only be wastegating about 30% of the exhaust energy which is completely doable with the internal wastegate.

Thanks for the reply..
I already have a twin waste gate exhaust manifold..... Internal gate is out of the question ...
1.05 is the smallest twin scroll exhaust housing I believe....
