Borg Warner EFR Series....Not a "Is single better than Twins" Thread

Quick description were I'm coming from........I'm not turbo savvy; however, I feel I'm learning a little more every time something breaks on my car. I've been staying on the twin turbo wagon for the 6 years I've owned my FD. Just before I purchased my last set of 99spec turbos 3 years ago, I was close to jumping on the single turbo wagon; however, I took a ride in two single turbo RX7's (one FD and one FC), though they both were fun, it wasn't what I really wanted (this could all be from the tuner set-up). The FD had great power but lacked good throttle response, I want the quick throttle response feeling the twins provide. While the FC was set-up with a small turbo, it provided plenty of get-up and go, but you could feel the turbos loose efficiency at the high rpms. I feel this is a waste of opportunity with such a high revving motor.

Now I've been told I can't have my cake and eat it too; however, with my recent need to replace my turbos (again) I have found out about the new EFR series from Borg Warner. Then in the March issue of "Super Street" I found a good article about the make-up of this new series turbo which helped me to think even more about making the switch. From the research I've done and speaking to a gentleman at Full-Race, my best bet would be to use the EFR 6758 turbo.

What are your thoughts on this? Has anyone used any of the EFR series turbo yet? If I don't go this wrought then I'm sticking with Twins and buying a good set of BNR's.

Thanks for your input.................
P.S. I've searched from threads regarding the new Borg Warner EFR turbo with little found.

You should've searched first cause this has been discussed before and no need to post in two different sections.

Here is the link:

The benefits of an EFR turbo on a rotary engine is yet to be seen but I wouldn't hold my breath with so many other great turbos out there.

Well, thanks for the link. Believe it or not I did search, but I guess I used the wrong key words.

I posted in both sections since many times things are not seen in a single location.
