bnr with rtek?
so i have an 87 gxl with a t2 swap. stock ports, front mount, 550cc/750cc, rtek 1.7, 3" straight pipe, block off plates, and i wanna get a bnr stage 3 turbo upgrade. will the setup i have currently be sufficient enough to hold up on 10lbs on the stage 3? thanks for any help

Yes.
i had almost an identical setup. rtek 1.7 550/750 low impedence bnr stage III at 14 lbs. made just shy of 300 rwhp. oh, one thing worth mentioning tho, i had an apex'i afc neo to control fuel. then i tuned it myself, really easy to do to get good 11-12 afrs with a wideband. really easy setup. good luck!! |
thanks bro, thats about what im aiming for, 300 would be perfect for a street car. ill have to look into the neo.
anyone else get similar results? |
might check in the 2nd gen section

don't want to steal your thread, but you have the same question i do.
I'm about to get started with my 10th AE and have already upgraded a few things: Changed almost all hoses\gaskets etc. basic stuff Rtek 1.7 720 secondaries RB downpipe, presilencer, y-pipe and mufflers. Corksport TID Im going to go with the FD fuel pump, maybe RP one, def not a walbro. Everything else is stock, IC, blow off valve, FPR, etc. I've sent my turbo to BNR but haven't decided what stage to go with? could my setup handle the Stage 2 or even 3 upgrade? What else am i missing? Wide band O2, would you recommend an s-afc? Hit me back! |
