Anybody running Borg S369SXE?

We shipped GLEASEMANufacturing my S369SXE and he is building me a manifold + downpipe for my street ported FD.

Anybody run this turbo? Care to share your results and modification info for reference?

Couldnt find much on the search, only one thread comparing it to a S366 but not much for 369 info. Definitely not many/if any videos of that turbo running on a dyno or anything.

Thanks all

Plans for the car is street90% and track 10%

0.90A/R

Car is a rebuilt street ported FD, sakebomb ignition package, aquamist water meth, radium surge tank with dual walbros, rywire harness, haltech Elite 1500, Pettit CC3 Intercooler, tial bov and tail wg, etc.

It’s all in the shops hands and is being installed.

I think the small-ish A/R housing will be your limitation. Someone on this forum made 666whp with an S366 with boost tapering up top because it was out of compressor. IIRC, he had upgraded to a 1.0 or larger housing.
The S369 compressor should be able to carry boost out further, but the same turbine and smaller housing will be limitation.

You're on track - however the goals for this car (until a studded engine and drive line components are upgraded) is 400-500whp. Our altitude is 3500+ft here so we don't get the same air density benefits that a lot of states see.

This turbo should be able to produce well in excess of what the rest of the car can handle for at least 1-2 summers. After that, we'll see where the goals end up.

Not sure - this engine is Glease Manufacturing's mock-up engine for his hot side component manufacturing. This photo was taken by him today - the components should ship out to me this week.

(His photo/his engine/my turbo components)

These two cars run 69SX-E's. The burnout car has a 1.10 housing, the drag car a .91 housing.
The drag car runs a S4 street port engine, powerglide trans, 93 pump gas with water injection.

I'd be interested to read more about the drag car - any build thread or website on it?

I’ve got the s400 version as the secondary turbo on my truck with a .90 ar and made over 800hp on just that turbo. The sxe turbos are really responsive.

"Our altitude is 3500+ft here so we don't get the same air density"

pressure at 3500 feet is 12.93 psi v 14.7.

that's a 12% power discount

Look up my friend Donald Jackson, he runs a shop in Japan, but he built a few cars with Borg turbos and he's had a lot of success with them. You can find him on facebook under Pinku Style, awesome guy, very helpful and informative.

I've checked in on this thread about 5 times and this is the first time I noticed the wastegate placement!

Very interesting... Recirculated or hood exit?

I checked it out, but no easy way of finding any RX7’s with S369’s. Maybe he’ll post something eventually, I followed his page in case.

Those were always options, but we are going externally dumped, the wastegate will face the same direction as the downpipe and follow the downpipe down to the floor of the engine bay.
