any quick spooling turbo?

Anyone know of a smaller turbo that can be used on a 13brew, that will give very super fast spool, im talkin around 3000rpm for 1 bar, and be able to support near 400hp at the wheels. not looking for a power monster, but a super good street turbo that can clean up my engine bay a lot!

I already have a HKS cast manifold for my fd.. just tryin to decide on a turbo for when my twins give out. but i want a quick spooling one that can hold decent boost till redline and support upper 300hp like 375-390hp at the wheels..

Divided .84 T4 35R would be a good choice.

what about a to4e 57trim? would there be much of a differance in spool up?

Minor differences from a standing start, where BB units show the largest difference is how quickly they come on in transient response over non-BB units.

Last weekend I saw a gt35r w/ a T3 housing that made 343whp on a dyno dynamics. Spool was very fast.

at what pressure level was it at and was it a .82 t3 housing?

not ansewring the above, just reminding you that the GT series turbine wheel is not the same as prior units, so even though it might be a T3 its a large exhaust wheel, just the housing is small. (T3 and T4 use the same exhaust wheel on the GT35r.

Here is the build thread.

Set to 15psi.

yay that was meeee. I built it all myself too. 347whp on a dyno dynamics is nearing the 400 mark on a dynojet. This car is way too much fun now. Kind of scary. I need suspension now because my front end lifts too much.

Oh and from what i understand Garrett doesnt make a t4 housing for the 35r. They are something else. I havent done research into using a divided t4 myself because i dont care. If garrett doesnt make a 35r with a divided t4 then i dont want one.

gt 32?:-)

Garrett doesn't, we do, and that's too bad you feel that way, your turbo and car would be happier for it. :)

lol i know who you are. How much more power do you think i need? How would your housing effect my power band? Would i loose any low end? Would my spool time go up or down? I'm sure it would flow better in the top end. I am an open minded person. Persuade me.

he will throw in a 12 pack of budlight!

Ive got the following setup:
Street port (extended port)
T04BE
e compressor
B turbine
58mm compressor wheel
.86 exhaust

I get 10psi below 3000 (would be 1bar at 3000rpm easy) and make a tad over 300WHP at 10psi. I would think it would make 400 at 16-18psi.

If your running the 1.06 T3 you wont lose any low end and may even gain some. You will however have better up top as well. It wont quite start to drop off at about 7k.

You would obviously need a new manifold made at that point. But without question you'll keep your response.
