Always ask for the logs when someone tunes your car!

Damit! How many times do I have to remind people? Always ask for the FULL logs when you get your car tuned. How do you know what the heck actually went on if you don't?

true!

especially if you are dealing with xs...and check your logs before you go running it after it is tuned...i had two bad maps come from xs..incorrect settings...so the wise thing would have been for me to double check EVERYTHING they did to see if it is all right.

fet before and after logs....especially...not just the final logs.

knowing how many times each cel was sampled for the afr readings that were adjusted helps you know the accuracy of the tuning. get that info too.

There's no point in knowing what went on, just as long as the engine runs well. Any good tuner will stand by their product and/or service. If you feel that your tuner is an idiot and needs your micromanagement to keep from ruining things, then you will both be happier if someone else does the tuning, or you tune it yourself.

Micro-management is breathing down the tuners neck and asking "what is that?" continuously.

I don't think asking for the data logs of what transgressed, not the logic behind it mind you, is micro-mangement.

I do agree that one should tune their own!
