Adding a Supra Pump
I was just curious. I am going to be installing a supra pump that I have pretty soon. I have seen quite a few people run dual supra pumps or dual walbros in a "Y" configuration. Has anybody just added a supra pump and run a supra/stocker dual setup in a "Y" configuration? Any reason why this would not be beneficial?

Other then the stock pump being a bit long in the tooth I can't think of a reason why it couldn't be run with the new pump. Why take a chance running a 15-20 year old fuel pump? Just run two new ones.

If your stock pump isn't the original (i.e. it has been replaced) i don't see why you couldn't use it with the supra pump.

i believe this was discused on another thread... basically what it comes down too is QUIT BEING CHEAP buy another new supra pump. the reasoning behind it is they are 2 totally DIFFERENT pumps different pressure output at different voltages. will it work sure but your asking for touble the pumps will be working against each other, just buy another pump of the same specs and dont create a problem down the road for a car that already has a bad rap for this very reason.
hope this helps didnt want to look up the other threads z |
