Carlos, with the adapters included with the injectors they will fit in any top feed primary rail as they are extended to the standard long injector length.

The Cj setup is awsome, we sell it and I think we are going to have our custom model shortly. (maybe black anodize with weldon 2040 regulator.)

Brandon and Charles, the owners of cj-motorsports are awsome guys and both gear heads just like us ....

oorx7 06-16-08 09:37 PM

Thanks Glen!

I talked to the anodizer and he said that Black should turn out really good. As I told you before, they do all the anodizing for QuarterMaster.

So an update on these injectors, after researching the transitors(injector drivers) used in the apex power fc, Paul Yaw and I have concluded that you can run all 6 injectors with a power fc splitting two injectors into one driver...In other words if you have a ground zero manifold or somehow modify stock and can run 4 secondarys the power fc will run them all, two secondaries per driver with no issues.

6 Yawpower 1000cc injectors at 43psi will support 620hp.

Also Paul gives the injector dead time comps witht he injectors so you plug in the "injector lag" number in the power fc and you can idle like a purring kitten with 6000cc's of injectors.

So i dont understand this very well when running the xcessive LIM with 4 secondaries for start 2 more injectors clips has to be welded i assume that can be welded to the existent 2 injectors clips that the engine harness has for the secondaries. Also like no resistors are needed i presume that al that has to be done is weld the clips and connect to the injectors, know you say you can run 2 injectors into one driver so being ths said you say that the power fc will read the existense of 2 more injectors andwill be no problem or this has to be modified directly on the power fc menu. i dont have this to clear and since im waiting my 6 injector sistem from CJ and already has my xcessive manifold i want to know how to set this properly.

PD: GLEN I WILL CALL YOU THIS WEEK TO TALK ABOUT AND MAKE THE ORDER OF THE INJECTORS ALSO TO TALK ABOUT A NEW ENGINE I WILL NEED.

I CANT WAIT TO RUN MY NEW SET UP..............

FANtastic, now what sort of hp can 4x 1000s pump out?
is your 620hp quote for 6x 1000cc at the flywheel or rear wheels?
they look very choice.

I just ordered my upper and lower fuel rail as well as the twin Bosch pump setup from CJ Motorsports. Top notch craftsmanship I must say! Brandon is a great guy to deal with too.

Same here. I ordered the the full rail kit for the GZ LIM (4 injector rail). It is a nice piece.
Unlike most RX-7 shops, they actually take the time to address all details. Brandon is a pleasure to deal with as well.

How did your new setup work? I havent finish my car yet, but its coming close to it. I'm just curious to see what was your experince with these injectors and GZ manifold.

Worked great! The CJ dual pump set up is very nice but a pain to install the float sensor. Still have not got it to work right yet.

Why did you have problem with the float sensor? Is it putting it into the tank or something else? Any other issues? I had problem with the wires(both) being a little too short from the pumps to the connector on the fuel pump cover. I mean I was able to plug in connectors but wires were over strained. Once I installed everything and then tested my pump and found out that one pump wasnt working. I tought it was a bad fuel pump but when I took it out I noticed with ohm meter that connection on the pump was bad (I assume due to strained wires). So I made new longer wiring and now both pumps work. Is there a way to make a check light for pumps, something for the dashboard? If one fails to give me a warning signal. I was thinking like some current tester but i couldnt find anything suitable. for both pumps

I have nothing but good things to say about the cj fuel system. I got the anodized black and it looks awesome. Fitment was great and the customer service was really great. the 6 injector setup was back ordered, and I was called every step of the way from it going to the machine shop to getting anodized to shipping. I must say, that the black looks great with the blue and red -an fittings attached to it.

Hardest part of the install was getting the blasted metal seals(caps) into the GZ lower intake.

Ray extended my wires, but unless you have micro hands, it almost impossible to fit the float in. And you have to install it after the assembly is in place.

ooops. i posted before i realized that there are 3 pages.

Sorry to bring back such an old thread, but I just have one question about batch firing 2 injector dynamics injectors per channel with the power fc.

From my calculations it looks like this will exceed the reccomended injector driver wattage rating, I am just trying to get this straight so I dont mess anything up.

Basically:
2 ID injectors in parallel = 6 ohms.

14.4v / 6 ohm = 2.4 amp draw per channel

2.4 x 2.4 x .25 = 1.44 watts per channel

From my reading you dont want to exceed a total of 3 watts on the power fc injector drivers.
If you split that 3 watts up across the 4 injector channels, it looks as if .75 watts is the safe limit per channel.

The 1.44 watt draw from 2 injectors in parallel is nearly doubling that rating isnt it?
That leads me to believe anything over about 50% duty cycle could fry the injector driver!

Would it be worth throwing in a 3ohm relay for each pair of secondaries? This would drop it down to about .72 watts per channel (within the reccomended range)

If anyone here is running 6 ID injectors on the powerfc, how have you got it setup? and how is it working?

Thanks,
Alex

Bump for help with 6 injector setup!

I suppose I'll just pick up some resistors to be sure its safe for now and get her goin! :)

Not sure if this applies to Injector Dynamics injectors but on my set up the two PFC secondary injector outputs go into an FJO injector driver which then drives four of my 1000cc secondary injectors. Pretty simple actually...just wire the small box near the PFC and run the wires to the injectors. Not sure if that's the answer you're looking for.

1badFB 09-09-11 02:13 AM

I have thought about going that route, and FJO is actually just down the street from me!

The main reason I havent jumped on that train yet is the fact that the ID injectors are saturated, not peak and hold.
While I have read that the FJO box will run both style injectors, I am hoping that an injector driver is not necessary.

Also, I have not yet looked into how the FJO box would perform running only high impedance injectors.
