Carl, do you gain much more power from running 17 adv and 6 split compared to something way more conservative?

That was conservative given the fact that it was 111 octane and was also retarded across the board 2 degrees...

from BDC:

"Heh, heh. Yes, the tube for t he wide-band had blown itself out the tailpipe and was reading way off... the AFR's were roughly in the mid 11's:1. "

Congrats Carl! It's nice to see that everything paid off. Just don't do something dumb like me! I do miss the feeling of a high HP rotary!!!

Perhaps one of these days I'll wander over to your neck of the woods to check it out in person.

I want to see some dyno numbers after you have 3 guys sitting on the back of your car and you are not spinning the wheels on the dyno...I'd expect them to rise enuff to bring tears to some 7 owners eyes

Pump gas is a different beast: it lights much more easily and, therefore, needs to be fired later.

Going to go out on a limb here by asking you but what would your timing and split look like on a pump gas run?

Nice numbers Carl..... that torque curve does look nice and flat.

We'll have to see how your car does at Infineon with RX-Heven and myself there Aug 6-7th.

I have mine set at 13 under full boost, with a 3 deg split on pump gas. I think this is very typical. There are people who believe in 0 split, but the debate goes on.

carl,
happy new year and once again congrats for the high HP numbers. Nevertheless, I was wondering if you still have those waste springs from when you purchased your ss auto chrome 50mm wastegate? If so, are you willing to parts with the yellow spring? I beileve that it`s the 10 psi (spring rating) If so, how much shipped to Florida, 33496?

You can send it via USPS

Let me know,

Andre
