1993 Rx7 cant start after changing out harnesses
I had the motor rebuilt at Angle Motorsports. Mike Vargas recommended I get a new motor harness so I went RYWIRE. After that I noticed the previous owner did a hack job on the chassis harness which had melted wires and poor splices from the ECU all the way to the fuse box. (surprised car ran and it didnt catch fire at the time). so I decided to get a lower mileage one in good shape from a shop that had one left over.
So fast forward to today. I run the POWERFC I see the RPM's on the POWERFC screen around 180rpms while cranking New RYWIRE harness installed and a used chassis harness also from 1993 5 speed Motor Cranks I hear fuel pump cuts on Fuel pressure with Ignition ON is at 40psi and bounces around while cranking 40-50psi Coil Packs with Ignition ON have 12V Fuel Injectors with Ignition ON have 12V Installed new spark plugs and decided to de-flood motor just in case. Pretty clean. Looked over all the fuses a million times What else should I check? |
Decided to actually look at spark plugs for spark and negative. PowerFC ECU the only thing that would actually send the signal for spark?

Check your igniter.

man, i had the blue and white plugs near the ecu reversed! Started right up!
