Here is what i did just to let people know! But the stock wiring wont run 2 pumps, so i need to run some new wire! enjoy

Hmm, looks like you are using 45deg fittings on it? Do you plan on running 45deg stuff all the way to the rails?

no thats 90 deg on the top to a converter to make it 3/8ths than a backwords t and barb fittings all picked up at mcguckens hardware store! I think im gonna get a 90 deg barb and it will amke it look nicer!

I would weld another -AN fitting to the top, and the 2nd Pump directly to it. Then run both -6AN fees to a "Y" AN fitting (-10AN or -8AN line) to run the fuel to the front. thanks for the input! I am gonna get a 90 deg barb and replace that crazy ass hose! Is it the same with fuel every 90 deg bend you lose 1% flow? thanks

I mean 45deg flare opposed to 37 deg flare you see on all AN fittings.

What should be the presure i get with 2 pumps?

If your regulator is good for the flow, the pressure should be the same as before, only it will maintain it when you demand the extra fuel.

damn you did all that and now run stock return lines!! Did you end up keeping the charcoal canister?

dear god no. the stock return is fine. stock tank, etc... i run -8(?) or was it -6? from my regulator to one of the stock lines right below...

what's the reason everyone is switching to dual pumps instead of just one large on like the aeromotive i have seen on other applications??
I mean, i could see dual pumps if you have a dedicated line to the primary and another to the secondary....but what's the reason if you're just going to y them together anyways. then if one pump fails you get half the fuel, motor still runs, and then blows. with one pump, if it fails then the motor still might blow, but you also have a good chance of it all just dying and only having that one point of failure. maybe it's just me??..... |

Then you could run one all the time, and the 2nd under boost, staged with a good ECU. Although at higher boost pressures, I have seen this kind of setup have fuel pressure drops. |
the other advantage to dual pumps is if one fails you still have something to drive on :)

my pumps are quiet
and they flow A LOT of fuel. ive seen aeromotives drop pressure on high end. i run LOTS of boost.. and now im building a half-bridge port motor. |
and its not like im y'ing -8 and -8 to -8, its -10 feeds to the pumps, -8 from the pumps to the Y, then -10 to the secondary rail

T&R used to use aeromotive pumps...
but they couldnt support too much past 500 rwhp safely.. then we tried the SX 1000 pump.. which i had on my car and caused a blown motor when it died .. yeah its a nice race pump, loud as shit, but doesnt like being daily driven as we found out now im running dual bosch pumps.... its beautiful =] |
