1600 rail secondary, 850 stock primary w/ FPR.. which way should I hook it up?

I was wondering should I hook up the rails like stock or do them in parallel? I've heard mixed opinions on this looking for more. I'm using the keiths rails secondary rail...

also I was wondering if anyone know off the top of their head what size lines and fittings I will need to run the stock rail w/ the keiths rail, Aeromotive FPR, and stock from their back? I've never used braided lines so I'm unsure of fittings and such and need help!

TIA,
Ryker

Make sure you get O-ring fittings for the lines that goto your rails/fpr.

may sounds stupid but where can I find them, mcmaster carr? Any idea what model or what to look for... 1st timer in modding fuel rail crap :D
thanks!

You should try to find a local hot rod place, so you don't get ripped off fittings/hose and shipping. Plus they would be able to help you out so much. I have atleast an extra $100 worth of fittings that will never get used...
Does the fpr you have, have 2 inlets? If so then run the system in parrell, thats what I did, and most of the guys with real power have it setup that way.
How much power are you planning on putting down?

I know my car will support over 400 but I'm looking for numbers that will be right in there. I think that should be plenty for now on pump gas. I'm going to plug one of the outlets on the FPR going by keiths directions... Damn I need to switch this thing soon... tired of looking at my turbo laying on the floor! I've got a shop hookup that can get me the lines and fittings for at cost instead of getting raped by a performance shop. :D Thanks for the help!

parts list for fuel
ryker,
sorry i did not send you a list already. i could have sworn i did....
here is a quick list to help you order. i wont give you part numbers, because i dont know what brands you will use, but i would recomend russells fittings and aeroquip lines.... russells fittings are the esiest to use because of longer threads, so they do the work for you.
you need:
8= -6 stright hose ends
1= 1/4 90*
1= 1/4 45*
1= -6 90* hose end
2= -6 to -4 union reducers
1= 3/8 -6 90*
1= 3/8 -6 straight
2= -6 unions
1= -6 union with 1/8 fuel port (for guage)
1= 100psi VDO fuel guage
1= 6ft of -6 line (more than enough and gives room for error. 3 would do the job, but i am factoring this is your first time working with the stuff and you *could* mess up a few times along the way)
2= -4 barbed. (i *think* earls is the only one who makes this.... its a -4 female on one end and a barbed fitting on the other)
you also need a few -6 O-rings for the regulator ports, and a plug if you dont already have one and your regulator has 2 inlets....
-also will need to tap the primary rail w/ 1/4NPT. this is easy and the holes dont need to be drilled out, it will thread fine without drilling.

Here ya go...

Keith,

Here are a couple of pics of your rails after i got them powder coated. I got the brackets polished also. These aren't the greatest shots but i'll have more soon. I have some now but I don't want to show my new tricks anymore until the car is up and running.

These are quality products, just waiting for the engine to be finished then they shall be fitted.
