Ebay engine importers.

Does anyone have experiences with the engine importers on ebay? I am saving up for a s5 w/trans, ecu, and engine harness. It seems like they all have a few people that are not happy with them, but otherwise good feedback. There is one in Canada that is considerably cheaper then the ones already in the US. Is that because I will have to pay enough (border fee's ect..) to get it home? Or is it just cheaper because it's Canada? Any input and feedback appreciated, as I would like to pick the best deal with the least amount of risk of being shafted. Thanks -Dave

its cheaper in canada, because we have a shit load of JDM engines, our laws make us import cars of 15 year old, my rx7 is a JDM and i paid 8000$ for it with 99specs on it. the thing i sudjest you, it to go in person or look at there websites, theres a lot in montreal and toronto, also in BC.
sorry for my grammar but i'm french :) do a compression test and if you got good compression get a rebuild cuz they are 15yr old engine and its most likely the coolant seals gonna go. thats what people usuly do when they buy rotary JDM engines. good thing about it you can get a full block with turbos, ecu and everything for 2000$
