R-magic Aero kit
1 Attachment(s)
is anyone else interested in maybe getting this Aero kit. I know it's going to cost shine some money to get it and then time to develop it, but I have fallen in love with the looks of this kit. So I wanted to get some opinions.
I'd sell my Lexus and buy an FD just to get that kit on:D
Its an awesome kit. I think rhdjapan sell most of it but not the fenders...really expensive though. If shine made it I would probably be tempted.
Ooooh....yummy!
These parts are very very expensive. My r-magic fenders were $900+ just for the fenders. The front bumper doesnt look that good without the front lip spoiler, which is $1500 in itself.
Pure is right. with out that lip on the bumper it kinda looks funky. but i like the C5R style hood looks crazy and the head lights kinda look like an updated version of your Pure.
I've been pricing it but there is a kit on the R-magic website that I think is all the fenders and the front bumper for 2.5k , but then again i can't read Japanese so I've got my friend Mitsuko looking into it
Here is the link if anyones interested in translating. it's the RE- quarter N1 2005 http://www.rmagic.net/parts/aero/fd3s.html |
After looking at the whole kit...I kinda only like the front bumper and the headlights.
I have the bumper if anyone wants it, no lip though. =(
Just the headlights for me
i love the hood.
I have to be honest I'm torn on if the kit looks better with or without that double vented rear fender. But the hood front fenders lights and front bumper are must haves in my book
if you made replicas of the headlights i would be in for the whole kit. please pm me if your going to make them. anyone else interested in the headlights please show interest so that shine can maybe replicate them
I'm behind it 150% for the headlights, front bumper and spoiler
those headlights are by far the sexiest fd headlights around hands down. no one can even argue it. its a fact lol
If people are interested in the kit your best bet is to only get it through R-Magic. They only time they carry the stuff is when an order is made. Plus they are very strict on selling for the exact reason why this thread is started. I know all of this because I ordered the hood and it should arrive sometime in Janurary.
hey Charlie, could you document that. I know it's silly request but Just for me and others that are interested in R-magic parts.
After much much more research and a fewemails between myself and a few japanese tuners. I think i will probably get the Feed type R version 2 aero kit. Basically because i like the overall look . however I also think that the R-magic hood will blend well if I get the canards and R-magic headlights. So could someone photoshop that for me so I can get a preview.
if you do get the R magic headlights will you PLEASE PLEASE talk to someone at shine or one of the other replica shops and have them make a mold of them. you could prob make some money back doing this also
I already brought 2 sets in. I won't be responsible for that and i know the people who have them won't be either.
Get it done yourself if you want it or work for it. I won't be losing good friendships over some change. |
While the head-lights do look amazing in photos, I was not that impressed when I saw them in person. Their fitment was not that great and the 4 screw that attach to the lens cover and bucket are hideous. I was also told by a owner that the light output was disappointing.

How many times has this come up.. IT WON"T BE REPLICATED...
I want it ALL!!!!! I've had this car as a sceen saver for my phone for a while now. Love the lights, but over 2k is alot just for lights.
The fitment does look a little crappy for 2K. actually the bumper isn't that tight either. Do you think it might have been installer error. Worse case I'm sure I could change the bolts and have someone reshape some plexi-glass for a tighter fit. Who knows, maybe r-magic has already addressed the fitment issue.

It's not perfect, then again, i have yet to see one kit that is "PERFECT". It also depends on how high each person's standards are. Fitment, and lighting is all depending on each person. I know some people who love the lighting (which is a huge improvement over stock), and to some they dislike it. |
