This coming from a guy who likes Megan racing products....as if you couldnt get anymore cheapy ebay than that. Trust me I know whats involved in making a product, I work at Boost Logic. Plus I support Shine since I'll prolly buy a Burnout kit for my FD from them.

So anyway, Shine, what your saying is that you will take deposits and the kit will be made regardless if all 15 people on the list deposit? If so, im sorry I must have misunderstood you guys. If so, im sending the money now.

i just finished my first week at a new job, so i don't get paid until the 15th, i am however willing to send my food money as a deposit in order to make things happen. As i said i am willing to send 3x the standard amount if its necessary to get going. If anyone can double their deposit to help cover the losses of those that will inevitably drop out then i think it would help out alot for future productions when we want to have something specific made.

Well. We need 15 deposits for a number of reasons. We need it to purchase the kit from Japan and ship it over here. People from all over the place want us to make this, that, this and that, but we're not a bank. We don't have that much money to buy all this stuff. We're looking at $1500-$2000 easy for just one kit.

The Rx8 guys want stuff, the 350z guys want stuff, the 240sx guys want stuff. It all adds up and we can't afford to put the money upfront. We are already putting the money up front in the cost of labor and materials to produce molds, not to mention storing these huge parts.

We also want 15 deposits to make sure we have 15 customers to buy this thing. That way , if we never sell a kit after that, we won't feel like we did all that for nothing. We dont want to sell 10 kits and be stuck with these huge molds. Space is limited and if something doesnt sell, we'd prefer to chuck it. We have lots of work regardless of whether or not this project goes through. There's really no reason for us to go into a project and lose out.

I've tried many other ways in the past and 15 is the magic number for us. I can maybe make an exception for 12 or 13 deposits, but anything less than that, I dont think it would be worth pursueing at this moment when we're super busy already. If not enough people are involved, we will simply refund your deposit.

I really dont want to put the pressue on you guys to send the deposits. However, I am letting you guys know that if you guys want this done quick, we will need to make a purchase in Japan, since we are organizing a bulk shipment over here. If I have to organize ANOTHER one, it will take longer. We like to ship alot of parts at the same time to save $$$$$.
