SEVENSTOCK-14: Event Pricing

Guys, after getting all of the money we had in the kiddy, borrowing and begging for more, and the adding the bucks we collected from all the SS-13 sales, we've finally been able to set event entry pricing for SS-14... as follows:

RX display vehicle (outdoor): $20 (car & driver) - additional passengers: $5/person

RX display vehicle (*indoor): $30 (car & driver) - additional passengers: $5/person

General Admission: $5/person

KIDS 12 & UNDER FREE

*indoor display is limited and will be selective. If interested please PM me ASAP

Thank you all for your support of SevenStock... we all made it happen this year!

Bern 10-03-11 10:10 PM

This was a very difficult decision for us seeing as how for the past 13 years, SevenStock has always been a FREE event but given the circumstances this year and the new venue, we came up with what we thought was a fair compromise.

I hope everyone here agrees and continues to once again show us some love and support for SevenStock 14 !

As for the display cars: As usual spacing is LIMITED so make sure you guys show up early and for those looking to display their rides INDOORS please PM me asap.

Indoor Display Vehicle Criteria:
  • All Vehicles must have 1/4 tank of gas or LESS at the time they arrive. This is a requirement by the Fairplex and our Insurance carrier - No Exceptions can or will be made to this
  • Car batteries must be disconnected once parked indoors. This is easy, just bring a 10mm wrench / socket and take care of it as you're wiping down your cars. Or we can help you out
  • PM me the details / mods of your RX

NOTE: General Parking will be $9 per vehicle. This is a FAIRPLEX decision, we have have no say!! :( NOTE: there is NO $9 fee for all cars entering the main display/show area. The $9 fee is for all non-displaying cars that will park in the general parking lot outside the show.

Will there be parking fees for general admission attendants?being that it is pomona....

HOZZMANRX7 10-04-11 01:24 AM

Inside, I gather, is inside a building as compared to a Tent. That said, has to be limited capacity. So advance registration instructions for those that don't want to get rained on?

Also, aside from the obvious, what are the advantages of inside vs. outside. Akin to Courtyard vs. main parking lot?

Thanks for the reminder... The FAIRPLEX has told us that General Parking will be $9 per vehicle. This is a FAIRPLEX decision, we have have no say!! :(

Indoors means inside a building/hall... and all of the cool kids will be inside!! We are being very selective to who will be inside the building, think of it as an extended courtyard type deal. :icon_tup:

If you're paying for an "indoor or outdoor" spot, does that waive the $9 entry into the Fairplex?

Do we need to register and pay for our display vehicles before the event?

Rotary13B1 10-05-11 01:26 AM

TheAbsence:

For inside the hall: spacing is LIMITED so make sure you guys show up early and for those looking to display their rides INDOORS please PM me asap. PM BERN.

For outside: you will pay the day of the event, so make sure you arrive EARLY!
and I'm saying EARLY. You don't want to park your 7 in the general parking while all the cool kids are inside looking out...

DivinDriver 10-05-11 10:06 AM

Considering the last-minute scramble you guys had forced on you to find space, and the popularity of the venue (Fairplex is a busy place), the prices seem pretty reasonable to me.

Costs more than twice this much to display a car outside at JCCS, for example.

By the way... The NHRA Motorsports Museum is right there on the fairgrounds, off McKinley: http://museum.nhra.com/apcm/template...avsource=intro

Rotary13B1 10-05-11 11:24 AM

Glen, it was either THIS or no event... We chose to throw an event instead!

I'm with you on that!

No problem with paying for my fun - - Like I said, the price is completely reasonable IMHO, considering circumstances.

TheAbsence 10-05-11 04:46 PM

^ I agree with the pricing. Free was nice, but I think the pricing here is reasonable.... and I'm a huge cheapskate so thats saying something.

Thanks.. we know it is tough for some folks, but we just couldn't just let SS go because we ran into a challenge. We are hoping all share our love and commitment to SS, and if you can't make it out this year we understand and hope to see you all out at a future event!

thanks,

Good to know about the general parking as a couple of us will be hauling in with other vehicles

Meiogirl 10-11-11 11:09 AM

If we are parking outside, can we bring chairs and or 12x12 tents?

Are these spaces we need to be early for provided per model class? ie do I need to try and arrive before 200 Rx8s to makes sure I get a spot for my FD?

All RXs coming into the event display area will need to pay the fee at the gate the morning-of.

IF you are wanting an INDOOR display area for your ride, you must PM me first!

You can bring the chairs, there is lots of shaded and indoor areas with A/C, but please DO NOT bring the tent.

SevenStock-14 will be as all previous events... first come, first serve... once the display area fills up, thats it. Same as in years past, so don't be late!We will announce a recommended arrival time soon.

There's lots of outdoor seating provided by all the tree planters and the water fountain. There may even be several picnic benches in place near the fountain.

honroc 10-15-11 02:40 AM

Bern, if we park in the outside show area will we have a time set before we can leave that area, or can we leave when we want?

All participants at SevenStock, INDOOR or OUTDOOR, must stay put until 3PM. This due to insurance and Fairplex rules.

Folks,

In order to expedite the morning. I am going to give out some instructions, because I will be the 2nd person you will meet Saturday Morning. 1st Person will direct you to the payment lines, where our Payment Collection Crew will be.

  • [*]
  • [*]
  • [*]

You will tell me INSIDE or OUTSIDE, pay ( CASH ONLY!) and I will hand you an ENTRY CARD and WRISTBANDS to get into the Venue.

PLEASE FOLLOW THE DIRECTION OF OUR PARKING STAFF AT THE STAGING LOT.

Easy!

One more note: Folks, please practice backing up your Rotary!!! Backing up at an angle, or backing up perpendicular. Find an empty parking lot and practice, you don't want to be THAT guy/girl holding up the line when we are rolling to the show area.

THANKS EVERYONE! We are less than 36 hrs away from SevenStock14!!

-Andy
