A few notes:

- It was especially fun seeing the enthusiasm from all the Rotorheads that this was their first 7Stock. Talking to the first timers, enjoying their fresh enthusiasm, is always something I enjoy in this, my 9th SevenStock.

- I cannot recall a prior 7stock where the staging (an event in of itself) was more organized.

- The parade, or what I call the ultimate wankle caravan, was as spectacular as ever. For those that didn't notice, this years 7stock as exactly at 100% capacity as far as parking capacity.

- For those that noticed the MG with the 13B in it. Talking to the owner, he was actually there for the Cars n Coffee and did not know about 7stock. His enthusiasm was akin to a duck that found water in a desert. I kind of think he'll be back.

- A number of guys there otherwise for Cars n Coffee asked how the could learn more about 7Stock. Fresh blood for next year?

- I finally got to sit in a Vert with a Kirk Racing Roll bar. My 6'2" 230 frame fit just fine. One more thing now added to my list. :)

- Dropped in on the 7NotStock after party. Curious note, the V8 RX7's were outnumbered almost 2-1 by wankel cars. :icon_tup: One V8RX7 car notably missing was due to it's new engine install not completed. Noted is that the owner has gone though 4 LS"X" engines already, soon to be 5. ;)

Anyway, I always have to remind myself that the reason this amazing event enjoyed by Rotorheads from all over the world was birthed not out of some marketing initiative backed by big corporate bucks. It's there every year because a small band of wankle enthusiasts had a vision and "knew a guy" that helped them raise the bar so a broad audience such as we had yesterday could enjoy what we all look forward to EVERY year.

To that small band of wankle enthusiasts, led by this crazy Mexican guy who logs more Frequent Flyer miles in one year than many do in a life time, thank you for finding time out of your personal work and family lives to make this happen once again. Especially when it looked, with no small exaggeration, that it absolutely WASN'T going to happen not that long ago.

Looking forward to making it a bakers dozen of 13 SevenStocks. :icon_tup:

I had an absolute blast this year. I've been attending 7stock for 5 years now and this one, by far, was the best. There were a few things I wish were different or more like last years but overall, I had a great time.

Thanks to all that organize, fund, volunteer and dedicate time in any way to this event! :icon_tup:

Thank you once again for providing such a great event for me and my co-crack addict to gather at.

WOW did more people show up this year than last year???
This was a question to be asked, tested and proven once we made our way to the event from San Diego to Double Tree Hotel.

It was definitely evident once we checked into the Hotel that the hardship of the economy had it's impact on the amount of people who travels from far to stay at the hotel for the event.

I recall from last year that we were fighting for parking space at the hotel once we checked in. However, this was not the defining out come of the number of attendees for this years event.

From the initial staging area to the final fill in of the lots it was evident that more numbers of cars had shown up for this years event and despite the cancellation of the official SS banquet @ DTH the tradition poolside party exceeded the previous years turnout.

All in all I had a great time. Thanks to the staff and people who volunteered for this years event it turn out to be a great FREE event.

Thank you and keep up the great tradition.

BTW to those who have the nerve to complain and criticize about the "lack of" for this years event remember this IT WAS A FREE EVENT. If you didn't enjoy yourself at SS this year, there is something wrong with you.
Be a part of the event and volunteer and make a change to the thing you see that need improvement or just stay home.")

See you all next year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cut and paste message from Berny to club members in part:

"To make you all aware, this has been the highest attended SevenStock ever.

For those who came out to just attend, I hope you all enjoyed!"

Simply put, thanks again for throwing the best BIG little rotary BBQ in the world.

See you at SSXIII. I'm holding an empty space on my calender for September 25th 2010.

Thanks to everybody who made SevenStock12 happen. I had a great time as always and already look forward to next years event. It was well worth the 70 gallons of gas the REPU demanded to drive from Phoenix to Irvine and back.

Thanks to everyone that made SSXII happen this year. I have only missed one year (not by choice) since I first heard of Sevenstock 7. I look forward to this event every year.
I also want to thank RCCAZ for letting me tag along with their caravan again. Good times!!

I'm putting every five $ bill I get in a jar to make it out west next year. Looks like a place I need to be.
