Anyone Goin to SevenStock XI?

Hey Everyone,
I am a visitor from the RX8 club and was just wondering if anyone here is going to SevenStock XI here and from the SoCal area? If so, we should get up a rotary caravan to head over there! Just a thought :icon_tup:

There's usually a HUGE caravan setup by the boys over at RX8Club, check out their West section.

Usually >60 RX-8's in that caravan.

everyone is going... it is the worlds largest gathering of rotary powered vehicles and rotorheads.

This will be my 5th or 6th year- I'll have to go look at shirts to see.

Not sure if I will be driving my 10thAE 7 or my 8, yet.

nightridaz777 07-09-08 06:30 AM

ROTARYROCKET7 07-14-08 02:33 PM

hey for a person like myself planning to fly in from NYC/CT area i see that there are 3 airports i can take.

1) Lax (biggest)
2) Long Beach
3) John Wayne (Closest)

Whats your take on price and availability.

Thanks

Icemark 07-14-08 03:26 PM

John Wayne (Orange County) is going to be your best bet for the nearest airport. And there are shuttles from the airport and to the hotels.

Rx7_Nut13B 07-14-08 08:10 PM

I will not be driving the FD but it is ok because I will be driving my 03 F250 with 4 7's on the trailer.

I think i have the proper identification on my truck to enter the rotary zone :)

i would like to visit LA and check it out on friday, howz the traffic going north on 405 (im assuming its gridlock, its friday). How much are taxis from the event to LA etc. I been to cali a few times and its always been around LA but never in LA, so i would like to kill 2 birds with one stone.

Im 95% sure im going, so if anyone wants to show a fellow rotard from the east coast some nice spots, hollah.

You would be much cheaper rent a car than taking a taxi in LA. Last I checked it was over $1-$1.10 a minute and figure at least 30 - 60 minutes to anything.

nightridaz777 07-18-08 12:24 AM

friday will be a lil crazy since you'll prolly be getting out here early. and i agree that renting a car is cheaper than riding around in a taxi all weekend. i would show you around. but im not a big fan of traffic.

IronMdnX 07-18-08 08:41 AM

Looks like I will be attending for the 1st time. Unfortunately It will be in my work truck, the 7 is stuck in MN.

ROTARYROCKET7 07-20-08 12:11 AM
