Turbo balancing in Jax

Anyone know of a place to get a turbo balanced near Jacksonville? I tried calling a few diesel shops and they said they just sell remans. Pfff. Pussies. :icon_tdow

His father was one of the original engineers at turbonetics. He lives breathes turbos, has very good pricing.

Anything closer? I'd love to go there, but it's a little far to travel from SE Georgia just to have my turbo balanced.

It would be worth it to ship it to him, trust me. Give him a ring

Understandable, I just want something that has a turnaround time of maybe a day or 2. Something I can get done quickly, instead of waiting for shipping.

In case someone searches this later, I found 2 shops in the Jacksonville, FL area that will balance a turbocharger.

Roy's diesel injection service on Lenox ave will do it for $65 and can have it back to you within the day, provided you bring it in early enough. The place looks a little dingy, but the guys there are really friendly and are willing to help you out.

Another place is called L&J diesel service. They're really hard to get answers out of because they seem like they're too busy to deal with you right now. I hate businesses like that, but I'll post them as well seeing as these are the only 2 places I've found in all of the giant city of Jacksonville that will balance a turbo. L&J (after much calling and eventually showing up in person, only to get ignored by a guy in the front on a computer for about 5 minutes and then he says "Someone will be right with you") will do it for $79.

I probably could have taken it down to Ocala to Evergreen turbo, but I didn't want to ship it (takes too long) and I didn't want to risk driving it down there and not being able to get it back until the next day. That would have meant another 3 hr drive each way just to pick it up. I'm sure they do good work though.
