Tuners in or around Winston-Salem NC
 

I will be relocating from Miami to Winston-Salem NC and would like to find a reputable tuner for my FD3S. I haven't purchased an ECU as of yet, as I am trying to understand what support I have in my area.

Don't know of any independent shops near Winston Salem but that's not to say you shouldn't look around. There is a dealership but I don't know about them.
(Most dealerships look at Rx7's and say, cool car, what is that?) I find that if there's a dealer, there's probably a former dealership mechanic with rx7 experience such as M-Tech Automotive Indian Trail, NC (South of Charlotte, not far off I-485) (704) 882-8996 Mike McDonough- operator- is a former dealership mechanic. Not a tuner, just a good shop. I used to live nearby and I just stumbled across this place. He worked on my GSL-SE quite a bit. Helped me get a few problems sorted.
Call your local Mazda dealer parts department. If there's any independents around chances are they may order parts from the dealer, a helpful parts desk guy might know.

Never used this shop but they seem to have a good rep. You may want to read up on them.
