Steve Kan Tuning in NE FL?
I saw at least 3 other people in the other thread for tuning, that were from NE FL. Well, lets get our own session so we don't have to drive 4 hours. Post here if you want tuning in NE FL. ALso, if anyone can get us a dyno shop for it, that would be great.
|
I work at a shop that has a dyno jet with pretty much every option. Load control, boost sensors, af sensors, etc.
If you guy come up to tallahassee, i can get you guys a pretty good deal on dyno time. We are super flexible on time too, we have had guys schedule dyno time for midnight and so forth. If you guys can get a group of people and tell me how many to expect, I can set up how much the dyno time would be. |
i would like too but would have to wait till after christmas before the funding would be right.
|
here in jacksonville there is a place thats pretty good. brand new dyno. i will talk to the guy to see if he wants to do it.
|
I'm in but would prefer later in Jan at the earliest. Velocity Trends II has a dyno and is willing to host such an event. $100/hour for the Dyno and their driver. We are responsible for replacing WB sensors if they burn out. Anyone have any experience with this shop?
|
Awww. wish you guys would come to our dyno in tally. How about if I supply punch and pie?
|
3 hours away, 180 miles. Better than Miami but I opt for something a little closer if possible.
|
velocity is a rip off. im talking about tony at hp performance. real cool guy and the dyno is in orangepark off of 295
|
What is the rate at HP Performance and are they willing to host such an event?
|
i dont know the rate but tony is a really cool guy. i will ask him prob by this saturday
|
i might be interested, but it wouldnt be until a few months into next year. march or april.
but i will not attend if its at velocity trends:icon_tdow |
For what it's worth. . . . FUCK velocity trends. Back in the day, I drove up there in the daily beater and inq'ed as to wether or not they could get me the Amemiya AD-GT kit. When they saw the price (at the time) was over three grand, they looked at me first if i really owned a 94 RX-7, then asked if i seriously wanted it, AND THEN offered me some erebuni/wings west bottom shelf crap that they "could get faster."
That was over 5 or 6 years ago (roughly) back when they were still located on Beach blvd. Just my 2 cents, but i'll never do anything associated with that company, even if it is just to use their dyno. |
+1 for Jacksonville, FL.
There's a dyno NEAR (not in) Tom Bush Mazda. I'll get in touch with the owner. Perhaps some of our Savanna, GA, members would make the trip. I have a set of BNR's coming . . . :-) neil |

BTW: sounds like they own a dyno in Orange Park, I wonder if it's the other one mentioned. . . :-) neil Here's their website and dyno info: http://www.velocitytrends.com/dyno.htm I don't know if they'll give us a discount esp. with Steve doing the work. BTW: I've never used them before. ============= Baseline Runs: $75 This includes 3 baseline runs w/ air fuel and a print out of your runs for your records Apexi VAFC/SAFC: $125 Flat Rate of $125 as long as it takes. Tuning: $125-$150 per hour This pricing depends on what system you are running and what vehicle you have. Some systems are more user friendly than others. |
Any update on this ?
:-) neil |
Think it is dead. Str8down, who started the thread, has sorted out his tuning and I have made no progress on finishing my project. Unless someone wants to take the lead and maybe grab Steve on his way to SE FL.
Neil, did you get the BNR's? |
Yeah, I just ordered my Datalogit, and I am just going to tune it myself.
