Well as of now I am not sure I can make it to either. My new bumper will be coming in on Friday hopefully and the RX-8 may be in the paint shop all weekend. I can't comer down to TOTD on Friday because I have got class, but what is the schedule for the actual event I may come down one day and hit up AUTOFAIR the other day. Man this weekend is just slammed with shows: TOTD, NOPI DC, Spring Nationals and AUTOFAIR.

For those not making the Deals Gap trip this weekend you can come out to the Raleigh Drive-In at the Char Grill. Remember its at 5:00 pm and capn' post pics if you get a chance to take any. On April 23rd we'll have several new looks at the Drive-In:
Rays car without dents, can you keep her safe 'til then?
TO will have at least one car ready to show off.
Maybe Josh will have his car fully road worthy by then
Keith will have his vert ready with its new wheels and top
Greg has got his vert running, you and Keith might be twins, the cars I mean.

we'll also have all the usuals some FBs, a pride of FCs and hopefully an FD parade after most of us arrive. Hope to see Bobby and a few of the RX8 crowd.
Lets all have a maximum effort turnout.

so how was the turnout at chargrill on saturday?

we had a blast up at the gap. there were probably some 40-50 cars that showed up. i took 35mm photos so i don't have anything to post. some of the other guys should post photos soon; i will post as soon as i get them developed and scanned.

 

how the hell did you change your name josh?

When I showed up it was just me, capn's FC and a silver rx8 (sorry, I forgot his name)
...and by the way, I think I may have blown a seal on my engine so I think it might be my turn to do some major upgrades soon.

 

sorry for the bad turnout. we will all be back at the next meet. best of all (at least for me) my RX7 will make it's debut. WOOT

the first picture is the most interesting. perhaps when Greg provides the followup photos it will all make more sense.

 

Hmmm lets see. VMIC and radiator came in the other week so did a couple other goodies and all that has already been dropped off at Ashraf's. One thing is getting very frustrating though, the freakin turbo hasn't come in yet, have a majority of the kit but not the turbo itself. It has been over 3 months that I have ordered the damn thing but Sean at Aspec still says Garrett keeps telling him they should have some GT35Rs made any day now so me and like 7 other people are still waiting on our GT35Rs, oh well. I guess Ashraf has enought stuff to do but having the turbo would make things go a little quicker. Going to call Sean tomorrow to see if anything has changed. Hopefully I will get my car up and running before school gets out for the summer, we shall see.

IT WAS HORRIBLE

it was me, bobby, taylor, and mike. but we had an FD which has not been around for "eons" as bobby put it.

but i guess it was ok, i got to chargrills at 5:00, then mike showed up around 6 ish then bobby around 6:40 ish then taylor around 7 almost. but it was fun just chit chatin i guess. it was a beautiful day.

how was the weather at TOTD? looked kinda cloudy in the pics.

 

friday was all rain and clouds. you couldnt have asked for more perfect days on saturday and sunday; cool but sunny.

hey what do you guys think about this license plate? Is it too over the top?
