i hope 2 make it this time its almost a 5 hr drive from where im at fort stewart GA and i dont get off from work till 4:30 so im thinking of driving up on thursday and leaving the car there with my pops to take to old town and ill just meet up there around 8:30 so its looking like yall can count on me

What's up everyone! I am new to this forum but not to rotaries. I have owned plenty. Right now I have 2 Rx7s. One is a 1980 and the other is a 91 GTU. If you're from the kissimmee area, specifically from BVL area, then you probably have seen my red GTU. Im just looking around and trying to see if there is anything going on on the times I would be down there. I am a US Marine and am stationed in GA, but take frequent weekend trips down there. I'll be on the look-out for any meets.

i have a rx2 i live in nj but i am coming down to lakeland for the event on the 8th with the car the car is a street car cage and slicks all lights work i was wondering if i can bring the car to old town on the 6th with my trailer and take it off the trailer and put it in the show any info thanks

 

Cartechturbo basicly if the car is street legal yes you can trailer it, park trailer elsewhere and drive into old towne. There is at least one large parking area on the southeast corner of old towne, that I know off and it is part of old town(not far). Fridays is for 73 to 86 cars, and Saterdays is for 72 or older cars at old town, entry is free for all. The people that run old town reserve the right of entry of any car. They have many rules. Their main one's with us the rotaries is that they do not allow reving of any kind. Stereo's are not allowed to le loud. Car has to be presentable no eyesores(dislike color parts, primer parts, rust, etc) or individual at front gate will not allow in. I know I might be missing others but just can't remember right now. If anyone else from the group wants to correct or add info on this for cartechturbo please feel free. Cartechturbo I am currently recovering lower back surgery and won't be able to go to old town nor lakeland, but I sure wish you can enjoy Old town(and the Central Florida Rotary group) and the races at Lakeland.
