Panhandle Roll Call!

Ladies and gents, it's come to my attention that I'm one of MAYBE two members between the NW FL/Pensacola area guys and the Jax guys, so let's start a panhandle roll call? You guys aren't too far away but when I'm broke and running 93 non-ethanol, a 3 hour ride for just a day doesn't seem entirely worth the ride unless there is a real good sized turn out and all three generations can show.

I would really like to hit some rotary-specific meets so let's get going!
Post location and car!

Tallahassee - Arctic silver FC
Also, Lawless how far is Crestview? I saw your post about the Silva fight which I would have been to if I didn't open the next am.

Pensacola. Should have my 93 in about 2 weeks.

NativeBeggars 07-16-13 11:11 AM

Awesome. Not many so far but still good to see. I'm not sure if you guys are aware of this, but Rides n Tides 2 is coming up quickly, being on 27 July in Navarre Beach. I do plan on going and would love to get a big FC group there to hang and enjoy the day. FDs of course are welcome too. I just wanna see how many of you would be interested in it. It's a small journey from my house, so I would love to see if more of our kind will show.

Black 94 FD in Pensacola here...waiting on a rebuild. There are 6 other FD guys in Pensacola that I know of that go out every first sunday for a cruise (all cars running strong). 5 of them usually don't do shows or anything like that. I believe they troll this forum but not much.

Time and place for rides and rides?

NativeBeggars 07-18-13 09:57 AM

Rides n Tides 2 takes place at Navarre Beach Park on 27 July and starts at 9am CST.

Does anyone know of a good body shop in the area?

lawless 07-27-13 02:42 PM

S&L auto body in crestview. I like their painter! Good thing I said no to navarre today... Weather got crappy!

NativeBeggars 07-27-13 09:21 PM

Navarre was excellent. Arrived at 930 and it rained for 45 mins and then stayed a little cloudy. Three FD's, my FC and one that matched, and then that Chris fella with the LS1 FC.

NativeBeggars 07-27-13 09:24 PM

As for body shoppes in the "area", my thread moreso refers to Tallahassee but it could be the whole Panhandle. I know great shoppes in Tallahassee but farther west than PSJ I can't help you.

Does anyone have a front rotor housing and rotor (c-weight) for an FD I'm good condition they may want to sell?

NativeBeggars 07-31-13 07:58 PM

Silver I don't personally but I know a guy here in Tallahassee that probably does. 9.0 or 9.7?

Im interested if he has some. What do u mean by 9.0 or 9.7?... the weight?

Mine is a "C" weight...so I can also use a B or D weight

A 9.7lb 4400g
B 9.65lb 4377g
C 9.6lb 4354g
D 9.55lb 4331g
E 9.51lb 4314g

My bad, man. I spend most of my time in a 7 with FD rotors no matter the weight or model. I was referring to "compression ratio". But I can see about those weights.
I use B weight, 9.7 rotors from an FD, which are milled for 3mm seals.

NativeBeggars 08-01-13 01:40 PM

Send me a pm and I'll shoot you a number you can call.

silver_7 08-01-13 02:31 PM

PM sent...thanks man.

silver_7 08-05-13 02:28 AM

Still looking for a rotor if anyone has one. Rotor housing is no longer needed.

NativeBeggars 08-05-13 09:18 AM

You got a housing from Ron?
