There's a decent looking GSL SE for a not too bad price that needs a motor: https://atlanta.craigslist.org/atl/c...331345600.html

When the killing stops Tim, when the killing stops.

Gun Loving so-called "Americans" had a red letter day Sunday.

I wonder how they sleep at night with all that blood on their hands.

And a room full of automatic rifles.

Wake up people!

Took the FC out for a spin today. Not a huge milestone but it won't see another cool odometer number for some time.

I took my first FC up to 275k, I think Zach's white one had over 300K on it. Those kind of miles just mean your car is distinguished! lol

How's the FB coming along Ray?

Those are impressive numbers Brett, especially for an FC.

Let's see if she makes it to 50K.

The LE is ready to fire for sure, battery in, starter connected, swooosh test passed.

But you don't start up a virgin 12A after 35 years without the Rotary Gods present.

So she's just sitting there waiting for Mike and Robert to get their **** together.

But you know those dudes, their social calendars look like Trump's golf schedule.

Good News Dudes!

Mike and Robert are talking to their Social Committees to arrange a Fire Up date for the TW12A!

Stay tuned, details coming.

In the meantime I’m refinishing the LE wheels, here’s the primer stage, the’re going to be good:

Now for politics. Here's what doesn't work:

Donald Trump’s agenda of division and racial bigotry.

And here’s what does, a rational, decent and good America:

So here’s my solution to the Russian meddling that got a fool like Trump elected:

Trump and Kelly need to swap jobs.

Boosted, you've got the wrong Forum!

The SE RX-7 Forum is for people from the Carolina's, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, and Tennessee.

People from Missouri should post on the Midwest RX-7 Forum, which is for people from KY, IN, IL, MO, MI, WI, IA, MN, ND, SD, NE and KS.

Here's the link, check it out, I hear they've got real nice politics out that way:

https://www.rx7club.com/midwest-rx-7-forum-32/

Just kidding of course, everyone is welcome at OGTA, even Young Guys with 13Bs from Missouri.

So Welcome Aboard Mr. Boost!

We look forward to all your perspectives from 12As to 13Bs, from EFI to Nikki's, Trump, Hillary, whatever's on your mind.

Got pics?

The LE wheels got their first coat of wheel paint, very pretty

Some fine steel wool polishing, a couple more coats of wheel paint and a clear coat and they'll be ready for the show.

Thanks Tim, they're inspired by your pioneering work with Waffle Wheels years ago.

The final wheel paint coats are going on today, clear coat tomorrow.

I'll post pics of the finished product.

I also got the 15" Panasports down off the shelf, they're next.

This is the set that used to have some very serious curb damage on two of the rims, but Dean the Wheel Wizard and his son Brandon put some shop time on them, now they're perfect.

But I'm having a heck of a time stripping the finish off those wheels, it is some kind of baked on enamel that's resisted several treatments of my marine grade paint stripper and lots of steel wool.

Anybody got any ideas for how to get this flaky residue off?

I got a very nice surprise in the mail the other day.

A tee shirt with a beautiful white FB stenciled on the front, it says "Ask you Doctor".

How clever!

Old guys with 12As club meeting-os07aze.jpg

Check out the OCD on those X wheels!

It was sent by an anonymous person from someplace over in North Carolina.

Any idea who that might be?

You need to use the aerosol version of the aircraft paint stripper. Its not cheap but it should make that stuff fly off of there.

Its also doesn't hurt to use the mag wheel etching cleaner but keep it off the shiney bits. You can get both of these in any notorious auto supply shop like advancedzone.

I'm glad you like the shirt Ray, whoever sent that must have owed you one!

That aircraft stripper is nasty stuff, be sure you aren't downwind when spraying it. Sucks to breathe, sucks to have it on your skin! Spray it on, let it sit, then pressure wash. May have to repeat once or twice, but it will indeed strip the paint off.

Thank you for the "Ask the Doctor" tee shirt Tim, now I owe you one!

I'll consider it a 10th Anniversary present.

Yes, believe it or not, OGTA is now in it's tenth year and going strong!

Despite Donald Trump.

Also thanks to you and Collin for the tips on the Aircraft Stripper.

I'll pick some of that Nasty Stuff up tomorrow and give it a try.

But Collin, I'm going to pass on the pressure washer.

I tried that pressure washer trick on the first coat of boat stripper I put on the Panasports.

Next thing you know I'm covered head to toe by a fine mist of paint stripper.

I couldn't get into the shower fast enough.

James, I searched through that auction site for RX-7 stuff but couldn't find any.

Could you do us a favor and post links here to all the Good Stuff?

Any snow up your way yet Collin?

If only they had gone **** up 20 years ago.... alas looks like all they have is RX8s, a **** load of miatas, and some real nice frames (i'm sure you could cram a peripheral port 12A in one).

They are also selling trucks and equipment. That's what I'd be after.

...
Ray, you don't owe me squat. You have sent me parts and things over the years
and I just thought it was about time I returned the favors.

Also, thanks to you and Mike for the OGTA.

he he, sitting around for a couple years will put some surface rust on the rotors for sure James.

Old guys with 12As club meeting-wdihbmw.jpg

But worry not Mr James, this particular unit is an 83 LE.

The 83 LE's came with the Front Brake Rotor AutoTurn option (FBRAT).

FBRAT takes care of any front rotor issues you might have.

I figure if I just take it out on the road for a few miles, the FBRAT will do its thing and clean those rotor surfaces up just fine.

I'll post pics.
