Thanks Robert. I do enjoy working on those parts.

But the credit goes to Felix and the Mazda Engineers, they created this piece of art.

The starter is next, it's already installed, I just need to hook it up.

Plus a few more tubes and wires under the hood that need attention.

But Start Up is still another week or two away, I need to do some no-spark no-fuel runs to be sure all systems are go.

The suspense is killing me.

Robert, I think Ray is going for best 1st gen at DGRR next year, that is , if we can get him to register to be in the show.

Ray that engine bay is a work of art. Can't wait to see it running.

Let me express my thanks to the Mods for censoring my offensive language in the post above.

Referring to our Exalted Leader as an ******* was not an appropriate term for this forum.

The correct term should have been:

“Small orifice present in the rear quarter of most vertebrates”

My apologies to the Forum Masters.

Tim, Robert and Paul, I’m not looking to win anything, I hate winning.

Everybody gets a Gold Star these days for doing nothing.

And if your parents are rich and white you get two Gold Stars (Donald got six).

Besides, why make the DGRR folks nervous, they got enough folks to pay off.

I just want to appease the Rotary Gods.

Winning is for losers.

Take Donald Trump, for example. The Ultimate Loser is a man who hates women.

That's the Donald.

Here’s the pics on the tubes upgrade, she should be good to start soon, just need to do the ignition:

I remember borrowing that wrench! It's to reach the carb mounting nuts, right?

Bay looks great Ray!

Ahah, now i know where my bent wrench went! I loaned it to Brett!

Brett, check your tool box would you?

Folks who know Nikki's know you need a bent 12 mm box end to remove the rear driver's side carb nut, it's unreachable by any other means short of removing the Rats Nest.

I looked everywhere for that thing before sacrificing that open end hanging on the engine bay and then it didn't even work - the wrench needs to be a multifaceted box end because the available throw is so short you need lots of grabs.

So Brett, I can still use the bent wrench if you've still got it!

Gee, I don't have that problem on my cars nikki.

Oh, thats right, I don't have a rats nest. If I did I would want it to look like Rays. For a rats nest, it sure is pretty.

I am fairly certain I returned it. I only remember because I dropped it in my FB's engine bay and thought it was forever gone until I finally found it!

I'll make a deal with you though - I'll bend a 12mm box end wrench and ship it to you, if you'll bring the trainwreck LE out to the October OGTA meet!

You're probably right on the bent wrench Brett, I don't remember loaning it to you so I probably wouldn't remember you returning it either.

On the OGTA meeting, I have a better idea. More on that later but mark October 1, 2017 on your calendar.

Tim, the Rat's Nest is a bit too sophisticated for folks of your generation to understand.

You really need to own a properly functioning nest or have a PhD to know why the Rat's Nest is beneficial to your gas mileage, the environment and your throttle response.

Not to mention how incredible they look under the hood!

The LE is coming along.

Today I reconditioned the 2nd gen direct fire ignition coil and got the 10mm Magnecor Racing Wires ready to go.

Starter hook up is next.

Pics tomorrow.

You are a pain in the *** Robert.

I figured I'd get the ignition wires and battery and starter hooked up today.

But when I got to the starter I had three wires and only two poles to put them on. (Similar issue at the battery)

Lots of sparks later, I figured it out. The big wire is for the starter, the small wire is for the ground.

I still need to add the finish details to the Magnecor spark wires, but since you're such a pain in the *** I went out and took a pic with the flashlight:

Just kidding of course, I totally appreciate your comments! And we look forward to seeing you at Start Up.

It's always fun to watch some know-it-all thinks-he's-a-mechanic look under the hood of an RX-7 and count the spark plug wires, then start scratching his head.

While hooking them up this time it finely occurred to me why running the trailing spark through the leading poles on the distributor cap works.

That always bothered me before, but now I see it's all in the igniter.

Tim, as I mentioned in my previous post before it was deleted, the "extra" three wires are for the trailing ignition.

Trailing ignition helps to combat incomplete combustion, an unfortunate design problem with Wankels.

As a result, you get better gas mileage, lower emissions and as a bonus a few extra HP.

I also mentioned Donald Trump's attacks on the NFL and all other decent peace-loving Americans.

However, as I mentioned above, my post was deleted.

Censorship has no place in a free society.

Therefore, I hereby quit RX7Club.

PS: Go Falcons!

Did you guys see that game today? What an ending~~~~!

And Detroit deserves a win for their display of Class on and off the field.

Their Classy Anthem, with that perfect Kneel at the end.

Their gutsy play on the field, determined to the last.

Their sportsmanship after a tough loss.

That's what America is really about. Detroit, not Wall Street.

Ray, you are a racist... you obviously hate Americans. I am now formally done with the OGTA. As soon as I figure out how to delete this OGTA from my list it will be officially over for me. If you don't like America take it outside the football field and outside of a Rotary car site like the football players should do. Nothing but a bunch a whining, bitching rich spoiled asses. Too bad too Ray,... that's some fine work you're doing there on your car but you ruined it for me. Try moving to North Korea, Somalia, Iran for a while... maybe then you'll understand that though this country isn't perfect, it strives to be. Adios muchacho.. don't bother responding. I won't see it. For all you others hope I see you at DGRR next year. Tim if the offer is still on the table to share the cabin just PM me when the time comes. Cindy and I would love too. Ray if you're there I'd be real reluctant to make my acquaintance.

Glad to see you back Ray and that was a great video. Watched the whole thing just now.

Now back to regular programming, when do we see the white one done?
