PP Man... Drill some 2" holes in your housings and fill up those side ports

Pair of carbs and say hello to screaming rotors

I'm really thinking about picking up a cheapo S4 six port engine, and getting to the drilling.

I already have a clutch and ignition that's good enough for it. Might as well do the peripheral port. Shoot it might put down more power than my current S4 turbo nikki.

It's a fragile democracy that demands censorship.

Ray,

We're not demanding censorship. We are requesting that you discuss politics in the area specifically set up for it. Sort of like smoking and non-smoking areas. We hear enough political **** on tv, radio, facebook, work, etc. We come here to get away from that **** for a little bit and enjoy the miraculous rotary engine that can transcend politics and bring all people together regardless of race, creed, political stance, religion, sexual preference, etc. There are a million places you can go to talk politics. Lets have one place where we just talk about cars.

On another note I've become good friends with GSLSEForme Mike since meeting him at DGRR. Man!! What a walking encyclopedia of knowledge on my favorite topic!! I'm on the fast track to becoming a rotary mechanic!! Of sorts. The only thing I don't care for is not being to drive it to the parts store.. lol.

I've been telling Cindy that for a long time. And the one I want is all the way up in Minneapolis It's still there been 22 days now. Just the wrong time financially for us.

ray I don't think the rotary gods figure into this one. I got thrown off a porch 20 years ago for my beliefs. Then once I almost lost one of my best friends and 16 year employee over a heated discussion on politics. That was about ten years ago. I've hurt the feelings of a nephew once 11 years ago and have decided my dad was right... keep politics at the voting booth and let the chips fall where they may. After they count the votes honor the office and keep the personals aside till next voting day.

Good point Paul, but these are exceptional times that require exceptional responses.

After all, we shouldn't have to wait until the next election cycle if we have a crook in the White House.

That said, I understand and respect Crit's and Tommy's point that politics can be depressing, especially for Trumpsters these days.

But I also find FC's and turbos depressing - does that give me the right to ask people not to talk about turbos and FC's?

Of course not. If you want to talk about turbos and FC's, I'll be happy to offer my opinions about turbos and FC's and I won't criticize you personally just because I don't agree with you.

Similarly, if I want to talk about Trump, Nikki's or potatoes, you are free to offer your opinion about Trump, Nikki's or potatoes.

But to tell me what I'm not allowed to talk about is intolerant, uncivilized and, in a word, censorship.

Besides, without differences of opinion, life would be pretty boring, don't you think?

Kind of like an endless Trump rally.

I'm confident that the OGTA's, who have hung together for more than ten years, three Presidents and a bunch of wars, will remain good friends and grow stronger, wiser and even more interesting with time.

And when Hillary is properly installed as President, I will listen respectfully and carefully to every complaint.

And then I'll patiently remind you dudes that this thread is about 12A's, not politics or turbos.

And especially not FC's.

OK guys, I've been having fun with y'all with this political stuff, always meant to be teasing and informative.

(some would call it fishing, but you can't blame me, the OGTA thread has always been a good fishing hole)

But let me get serious for just a minute.

Recent events make it clear that our country is in serious trouble.

Serious Trouble.

Of the sort few could imagine last year as we played out what seems in retrospect to have been a really stupid political season.

But now we need stop beating up on each other and start working together to find our way out of this mess.

I will start by refraining from any further political ranting, raving or even just teasing on the OGTA thread.

I hope each of you in turn will also find ways to promote healing and help save our nation.

We are all better than what we've been.

On the other hand, I reserve the right to continue calling out turbos and FC's for what they are:

1) Hyper blown compensation for under powered units.

2) Over weight predecessors to the 4 door "sports car".

Respectively.

Agreed on every count, Ray!

Can anyone here get Stu or Robert to boogie over our way from Abalama for the Lakehouse Meet this year? If so, I'll throw in some extra beer.

i drove a brand new FC in 86 GXL, nice but heavy and kind of dumpy. Other than looking more like a ford probe I have to admit the New TII I drove in 88 was a real nice improvement over the FB. Handled great, decent acceleration and quite a bit more comfortable. In black? Looked great. All other colors not so much..imho. I still want one but now that I'm wrenching my own all available funds are going into getting more hp without porting or turbocharger. Hands down all first gens are still the best looking I think. I also think the 84-85 13b SE's are still the best rx7 ever made from factory. There's my 2 cents.

Ray,

I know you like to have fun, poke and prod, push people's buttons, joke around, etc., and I agree that our country is in trouble. I don't want to speak for everyone, but I know I get tired of hearing the same doom and gloom everywhere and it is nice to have a place to come, talk about cars, and forget about the trouble we are in for a few minutes.

My 4-door "sports car", as you put it, has come in handy during several different DGRRs. Paul and Cindy would probably still be on the side of the road waiting for a ride if I drove an FB. Plus, the only FBs that are able to keep up with it have almost double the value of the car in mods to be able to keep up with it...

I for one appreciated the back seat. Go watch top gear episode on you tube. Jeremy Clarkson absolutely thrilled with the "four door saloon"!!! Tommy if you'd have been in a FB Cindy would've sat on the console and I'd be curled up laying down in the back!!! Lol

SE's are nice, LE's are better.

FC's and turbos, not so much.

FE's have backseats, too many doors.

Sport cars they're not, they also suck.

Give me a 12A.

The 12A’s the only way.

Put on a Nikki.

A Wankel is born.
