All that matters is that you have one, and it's getting you to DGRR. Comparison unnecessary. Is that an 83?

Carlos just texted me that he suddenly will not be attending DGRR. Wish you were coming amigo! I was counting on him coming to sort of point me in the right direction to events and planned on tagging along with him. So we're coming in around 1 Friday. Where's the best place to go once we get checked in.?

guess u have as the photo shoot does start @ 3:30. there will probably be some people hanging out at the village resort when u get there.

We should all PM our mobile # to Paul and he can text us to see where everyone is. Mike, Ray, and a few others, myself included, may be out on a drive but could meet up maybe around that time.

In any case head to the village first, and if time is tight, go to the damn if all else fails. It takes about 30 minutes to get to the damn from the village. At the time there should be folks hanging out at the village.

ive checked the itinerary. The Damn makes most sense but we will go to the village first around 2ish. I'm looking forward to seeing SO many rotaries driving around in the same area. My head will be on a swivel!! Got a couple phone numbers to use between you and Tom. We'll hook up. Careful driving all! Thanks again!

Paul, I'll be at the dam along with the others doing registration. So, I can point you out to others when you check in, if you haven't met any of the OGTA guys by then.

Anybody got a spare $6800 in they're back pocket?? Sure would look good next to mine. Thought I'd post this. It's a more than fair price. Wish I could right now. In Minneapolis.

Wow. Ups and downs. Stuck at my motel can't make it to awards at the village. The compression check guy gave me a free test. Good news ? My front 102 back 118. Bad news? I think he cracked one of my plugs and I'm temporarily stranded at Two Rivers Lodge. Runs.. but real bad. advance auto parts can't get me plugs till sinday morning. Damn!! The judges looked at mine twice. Feel like I might miss an award!!! Sucks!!

sorry to hear that paul. probably could've just swapped it with one of the trailing plugs and been ok til u got a replacement. not being able to get a call or txt out is what sux bout that area. otherwise i'm sure someone probably had a spare spark plug. still hope u two enjoyed being there. being ur first time it really sux u had trouble.

ok ray, what's the excuse for not showing up after getting all of us excited bout seeing the LE?

Michael, I'm a liberal, OK?

These are difficult times.

But us libs are not going away.

You'll see when you see the LE.

I'm hoping Paul made it home OK.

Are you OK Paul?

Michael, we did what you suggested. He had two sessions of problems, first was a compound problem. Both leadling plugs broken by the rotary compression test guy, and a bad ignitor connection from the same snafu. FC plugs were borrowed and popped into trailing, the BR8EQ14 from trailing were then promoted to the big leagues and moved to leading. After a lot of unnecessary troubleshooting, the ignitor spades were twisted just a little to make sure they connected in the harness, then all was right with the world. Car ran great until it didn't.

we made it home in record time, car performed better than before the compression hack got his mits on it. I had seasoned pros at my side the whole time. I was in good hands. Compression wing nut guy started a chain reaction of events with the cherry on top being........drum roll please... a heater hose burst late at night at the set of "Deliverance".. can you say "squeal like a pig?" In the end 2nd Place at DGRR... damn. That was unexpected but very welcome..(eat your heart out Robert!). Cindy and I were blown away by the hospitality and total support. The award winning five letter runs better now than ever before!! Did I mention it got an award!!? Anyway, more of those get togethers still to come. Let's make it sooner than later.

thank you!! Yep that's a fine feather in my cap. Unexpected! Feels good to have an "award winning" 7. Roberts pretty used to it but the first is always the best
