All the cheap pumps will have had the impeller replaced with a rinky dink stamped impeller that imho will not pump as efficiently as the original scroll shaped impeller. I think the only way to get the original impeller is to pony up for the outrageous price of the Mazdatrix unit.
One alternative is to check with a mazda dealer, they actually have some OE parts still available, this may be one of them, if you can get the parts guy to go to the trouble to search for it, I have heard stories of them brushing people off cause they don't know how to find the old parts.

Well, I just told you a lie, I went to rock auto and found a Cardon pump for $28,00 with the proper impeller.

Anyone interested in passes for 24 Hours of Daytona

Everyone,

A friend of mine in Tucson, AZ and his wife bought 2 packages to this year's 24 Hours of Daytona back in November, only to have him enter the hospital in early December with extreme pancreatitis. He is STILL in the hospital and will not be able to attend. He's asked me to try and sell his tickets. Package includes 2 grandstand seats, reserved parking and pit access. He said he paid $250 for the two tickets and is willing to sell the pair for $125. Let me know if anyone is interested. If not, I'll start a separate thread. Just wanted to offer it up to my OGTA friends first!!!

Tim

Google is making it almost impossible to embed images in forum posts. I'm sure they think this
will prevent traffic on their servers from forum image displays. Thanks Google!

I put links to the albums in each thread so Mac and other users can see the pics.

Anyone recommend a free web based picture archiving site? I'll need to consolidate mine from
flickr and google at some point.

tim, i use photobucket. other pix u have poste linked to ur flickr? google used their own viewer so can't link to separate images and make them show in a post. can only post a link to the gallery.

I used flickr but ran out of space. May revisit that. I moved to using Picassa and then
google bought them and now they are phasing out picassaweb and have moved to
photos.google.com. What google has done is make it very hard to embed photos
from their archive so they don't burn bandwidth serving images to forums. Its kind
of what youtube did a while ago. If the forum software added a tag like
[photo-goog] you could just put the link in there and the image could be served
anyway just like we do today with the [youtube] tags for youtube links. Not holding
my breath for that one.

I avoided photobucket because they block the pics if the bandwidth gets
exceeded, but it may be an option.

as far as i know non of anything i've posted has been blocked. but in that case, maybe it's better to just upload them here rather than link to them.

Deals Gap. I haven't been to any meets or events since the late 80's. when the weather warms I plan to make an ogta monthly meet to put a face on all these posts I've read. I already know I can't make the entire 5 days but was thinking I just may be able to make the Saturday portion of the event and leave Sunday morning. Being new to all this can I come just one day and park mine with the rest in the show and if yes will I need to register and or pay to do that? I see just 6 FB's in the line up so far and thought mine would make a great addition. Anybody know what the protocol would be for a late comer to the Saturday event?

that is interesting...Timing not right for me but that is close to what I had in mind to add to my black collection. If the write up is on the level it's certainly worth a look see. Thanks for the heads up Fred!

Yes, you still need to register. It will get you in the show and a t-shirt. There will be seminars also. Sign up, your car will be a great addition to the show. Plus, you'll get to meet so many rotorheads.

BTW

Where's Ray been? And that Mike Simonovich?

They don't even show up to the OGTA meets anymore. Kevin Mayo showed up last night at Taco Maco and didn't recognize anyone but me any Jeremy.
