May Sc Meet.

might as well get it started. I agree with Mr. peanut, past 2 meets have been in columbia, and if you guys agree think the weather is getting right for a beach meet in chucktown. thoughts, opinions and whatever.

Skylance 04-10-06 11:16 AM

Sounds like fun! I should be up for it. Only problem is I will be at a meet in VA the weekend before (assuming this is going to be the 1st Sat again). So if I don't make it, y'all try not to get to offended or anything! But yeah, lets make some definite plans so everyone can make the necessary arrangements to be there! Hopefully, my 1st gen will be done, I hope.

rotarycrazy 04-10-06 12:34 PM

It will be as soon as you learn how to shit money

You don't have nearly enough ex-lax, nor enough toilet space! :) ;)

Yeah, everyone who's curious, there hasn't been much progress on the project. We got sick, then some other things came up, then I ran out of money, then my other car needed a new clutch, still don't have money, then I got a girlfriend, now I have even less money. It's a vicious, never-ending cycle.

Amature if you own an RX7 you nedd to: be single live with your parents make them pay for your insurance eat nothing else but noodle soup in a can have only one car and once the only one breaks down walk to work. But then again its just me.

^ :rlaugh:
In other news...
I saw a red 2nd gen. convert. with missing front bumper, on I-26 this after noon.

Skylance 04-11-06 07:31 AM

^Don't laugh! I swear, one of these years I'll get my RX-7 done. It will be out of Minda's car-port, and then Lisa will be able to park her FD in there once again! Of course, "one of these years" is the key phrase. lol

Mr. Peanut 04-11-06 08:20 AM

1st Saturday in May will be the 6th. Plan it and they wil come!

I will be in Knoxvile, TN that weekend for the Street Rod Nationals South. Over 3,000 hot rods is hard to pass up. Check it out- http://www.nsra-usa.com/south.htm

NoviceRotaryTech. 04-11-06 03:22 PM

There's a hot-rod convention coming to Columbia, Colonial Center June 6th I think. something called "Hot rod power tour"

I wasn't laughing at you, I was laughing at your whole conversation.

It's all good!

Masin - Thanks for the offer to help. Any help is greatly appreciated! Hows' Germany?

gxl90rx7 04-11-06 04:04 PM

Well for the meet we could do a bridge run, go to eat somewhere in mt pleasant, maybe play some pool at Players Place (if everyone is >18, if not frankies or go to the beach or something), then we can check out the ricer meet at Sam's.
Meet at river's kmart around 5 or so?

Skylance 04-12-06 07:55 AM

Well, regarding me and rotarycrazy's previous conversation, me and my (now x) girlfriend had a little chat yesterday, and well - I got "friended". :(

So, the bad news - i really miss her and all that crap, bla bla bla, etc.
but the good news - I'll now have more money for the RX-7! Yay!

Now, back to the meet. I've never been to "chucktown", so I guess I'll probably just ride down with somebody since my 7 is likely to not be done by then. Hey, Greg, Minda, you guys going?

wmelon137 04-12-06 08:11 AM

we'll see. right now the ghia is eating money out of my pocket at an alarming rate :)

Skylance 04-12-06 08:14 AM

Well, hurry up with the Ghia, and bring it down. I'm sure you can get it done in 3 weeks or less! Ha ha ha :rlaugh:

Of course, to do that, you would need to take like a 3 week vacation from work. And do nothing all day and all nite but work on the Ghia. So, I think its do-able, but not practical. Besides, in the long run, keeping your job is probably the best thing. lol

darthrotary 04-12-06 11:33 AM

so, looking like the 6th, around 5ish at the K-mart? sounds good, prolly will head to chas alittle early to spend some at the beach before the meet.

Skylance 04-12-06 12:11 PM

AWWWWW shucks!!! I just remembered that I have a previous engagement that day! I might be able to make it. I guess it just depends . . .

Mr. Peanut 04-13-06 02:55 PM

Yeah - the Hot Rod power Tour is coming to Columbia on June 6th. We need to have that meet in Columbia so everybody can see a lot of nice rides! http://hotrod.com/powertour/
We can cover that meet at a later time, but definately something to consider.......Chuck

The 20B won't be there. The builder decided to reuse certain vital parts. The motor went out on the way to the Gap last week. Yay..more money out of my pocket...

Reese

darthrotary 04-13-06 03:44 PM

so did you get your motor ready to be shipped, and what does the man say about the rebuild he did? any warrenty or is this all outta pocket again? you could cruise w/ Jon if hes coming, chucktown is a straight shot and shouldn't have to use the $2k nav system he dont have ;) Ian

that is unbelievable, do you think the flooding problems were caused by low compression?

RotaryDrift 04-14-06 07:37 PM
