What do you think ?
I need to figure out if I will have any other "duties" that day, otherwise sure...

One thing, I think the RX8's should start out first, then FDs, FCs, and so on. Two reasons, One: the 8 is the Mazda poster child for the whole rotary revolution, blah blah. and two: the Cars racing are 8's.

In the end, I really couldn't care what order we go in, I'll leave it to a vote.

WOW hold on there big guy ,with all due respect the rx8 is not the poster child that started it all 1978 1gens should be lined up first then 2nds,3rds,and so on .I personally could care less but don't try to hide the 1stgens from getting the respect it deserves.the look or style of the car is totaly subjective to ones liking,or if we are talking motor performance i guess that is up to all to vote.thanks thats my 2cents ,hope i didn't offend anyone.

I have to agree with Paul 'Lucky7305' on this one... there is no way AlexCisneros is going to convince me that the RX-8's will come first... if that is the case, Then I am prepared to boycott this event.

Just like God created the heavens and the Earth and then placed Man (Spirit) into the flesh (Humous) first part of the word Hu - Man.. there was an order.
Therefore the order as the Rotaries were manufactured .. The 1st gens came way before the RX-8's

Same question ...

What came first ... The RX7 1st Gen or the 4th Gen ? RX8?

It really does'nt matter. I'll be happy to go in the back. I just think it's cool we all get to go around the track in a group.

I personally think it would look a lot better if the newer cars came first, and getting older and older. It has nothing to do with which one is cooler or faster, it's just that spectators will recognize the newer cars, and then see where they came from.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH!!! Please for the love of GOD,put Rx8 in back. I have just started going to car club events. 1 FMC and last weekends Clearwater meet. Both with over a 100 cars in them. You know what i saw, new car showroom type meets and attitudes with the majority who had newer cars[ FMC all proteges almost, Clearwater more Rx8's] Those are not true carclubs in my experience, part of being in club is trading parts and actulally knowing or learning how to work on cars! I'm sorry i want a refund if Rx8 is leading my TII out front cause they have newer paint. I have more fun with a mix of cars like our meet in Orlando, which no Rx8 even showed

Thumbs down

wow, you guys are silly (for lack of a better word). Like I've already said

Here is my logic.

"the RX8 is the poster child for the rotary". Guess what guys, the RX7 is dead. You guys keep the fire going, but as a marketing stand point, the RX8 marks the return of the rotary and people who have never had a rotary before, or hell even know what a wankel is, still buy the RX8 because they can. If it was a Mazda event, the Miata would come first (it is the best selling roadster ever).

The other part of the logic was, let me think... uh.. gee, the cars we are rooting for and running the race are... you guessed it, RX8s.

I'm looking at it from a marketing stand point, not a who is better or what paint is brighter. But like I said before,

After all, the lap will be led by a Ford F150 pace car, then all the BMW's that didn't feel like going to ultra ( ) plus anyone else who actually had enough cohesion as a group to show and sign up before the deadline had to be moved three times and still not have commitment.

So don't get your panties in a bunch, you can go in any order you want. I'll be driving the F150

Wow meng... I really have to reserve my views for a later full scale war. ... I have to agree with Alex on only these points that actually have substance and that is:

The Marketing standpoint: To build a rotary that can look stylish and appeal to the yuppie crowd is like when Harley Davidson came out with the V-Rod.. in all intents and purposes it appealed to the Biff and Chad generation of Yardley pinpoint cloth penny loafer wearing ambercrombie and Fitch Hollisters that if they could mount a navigation system on their V-Rod they would have. The coolest thing I remember was watching this car take off in the movie "The X-Men"

Hey you know what ? I get a little sensitive when someone coins the phrase "RX7 is Dead"... mine is still driving and most meets there are always more 7's around. Its kind of like the true chopperhead who actually gets in there and takes his heads off to view why the single pin crank piston in shovelhead makes the distinct sound instead of some guy feels that sporting a leather jacket with a patch shouting loud pipes saves lives.. posers its all they are and not a true biker.

I feel that people who never had a rotary before cant truly appreciate a rotary by just watching the navigational system but rather get in there in the melee of things of watching a real rotary motor be built and modified. I get impressed to watch guys like Directfreak, Lucky7305, Crispeeed, Carlos Lopez, DragonMS, Alex Lopez, Dennis DeSilva RPM Doctor do something with their motors.

Yeah you are right.. I can understand AlexCisneros point of view on things from the marketing standpoint and the sad cut throat reality that some of the Diehard classic RX7's have taken so long to sign up for this event. That is pretty f***** sad and lame that I have had to call as many RX7 people to remind them to call Joe or Pete at HMS. And it's always the same punk *** excuses: "Oh , when is that event ?" " Man I have been too busy in two months time to check your emails" "I got 5 kids" "My dog ate my homework" "Yeah i saw the email but i didnt read it all" "How much time I got? til friday ? Oh **** sorry for taking this long"

Anyway its gonna suck that BMW will be ahead of us .... that really sucks mongo palo !!!
