looking for carburetor tuners

Anyone tune carbs for rotarys near Charlotte? I got the car running but want to make sure it is in tip top shape, not running lean, etc. I would rather run a little rich then spot on in the high RPMS than spot on until i lean out up top.

Call Ernst at RX7 World. He is in Rock Hill, so he's not too far from you. He might be able to help you. www.rx7world.com

That is, if he can get you in. I hear he's working out of his girlfriend's dad's garage in a residential neighborhood and can only take a few cars at a time. Also, not to flame him as I have no personal knowlege of his work, but I have heard a lot of the cars he worked on at RotorSports are now coming back with problems due to shoddy workmanship.

BTW, I just saw a 1st gen roll out of RotorSports earlier this week.

Good luck!

awww, thanks Justin. so in that post do you "work" for rotorsports or are you a "customer"? thing is... i only take a few cars at once so i don't end up having cars here for months at a time. Also, i'll take a picture of "my girlfriends garage" for you guys LOL!

And i'm sure every car i ever touched is coming back.. :)

Zac:

I don't work for RotorSports. Never have and probably never will. I'm not going to hide the fact that Bryan is a good friend of mine, who I've known for several years.

That said, explain this: You spend all of this energy flaming RotorSports here, on MySpace and on your web site. Do you think it's acceptable to talk negatively about a former employer? This isn't just bad business, but it borders on being illegal. Would you like to explain to everyone how you left RotorSports? Giving no notice and just not showing up, then resigning by email? Would you like to explain how you returned your uniforms, sneaking out to the shop in the middle of the night to drop them off?

I've known Bryan, and RotorSports, for nearly seven years. In that time, I've seen why RotorSports has such a stellar reputation. They do quality work. They believe in good, old fashioned customer service. Yes, it might take a bit longer, but the work will be done correctly.

I started out as a RotorSports customer, and I am blessed now to count Bryan as one of my good friends.

Frankly, Zac, I wish you all of the luck in the world in your new venture. I run my own business and it's in my nature to encourage all of those who have the entrepreneurial spirit. But you have a lot to learn about business, and life in general.

yep, i left on a whim. i have nothing to hide, and i'm not bashing. i've told everyone that if they go to rotorsports they will have a wonderful tech working on their car. Scott is amazing... plain and simple. the only things i've said are how long it takes and i've joked about bryan's amazing memory ;)

i truly enjoyed working there but i just could not take the bs anymore. i've been doing side work for a long time and just decided to go with it. bryan's constant yelling and negative accusations toward me weren't exactly making me love coming in every day. i didn't appreciate getting blamed for stuff he told me to do as if i just didn't finish a job.

i didn't have a problem with anyone, not you either. but you want to talk about learning business????? come ON!! i won't go in to this publicly, but lets see here... why does bryan now have an accountant?

Rotorsports is a great place and will effectively get the job done. no doubt... believe me there's plenty of work for everyone.

i knew this would fuggin happen.. i bet bryan is yelling my name like he used to about pete now :D

I'm finished hijacking this thread.

Good luck Zac.

anywho, holler at Zac (formerly of Rotorsports). I guess he's working out of a shop in Mint Hill. I was just there last night and it's very nice and well organized.
