Was involved in a head on collision last night/ this morning. I have not gotten the major details yet but will post as info comes in. Or the AL guys can post the info as well.

To all that are friends with Shannon and myself... Shannon was in a really bad car accident last night 06/19/06 at 2:30am. He was on Memorial Parkway heading south toward home and there was some idiot woman going north in the southbound lanes... She hit him head on.
Shannon is currently admitted at Huntsville Hospital in NICU. He has major swelling in his brain which the doctors are keeping a close eye on. If things get worse he'll have to go into surgery. He has a small laceration on his liver, his kidney, and his spleen. All should heal on their own with time. He has a broken right ankle and a broken joint/socket on his pelvis bone on the left side.
All I ask is that you keep him in your prayers and hope he makes it through this whole ordeal.

Sorry to hear about Shannon.
I bought some parts off him and he is a great guy to deal with. My prayers go out to him and his family that he may fully recover.

Yea, this sucks. I just met Shannon about a month ago. Him, me and some of the B'ham guys (Phil, 20B John and Stephen) all met a the Korea house and ate dinner. I hate to hear this and hope he is on his way to a speedy recovery.

Damn! Someone in Huntsville, please keep me informed about Shannon's condition.

He's a superb guy and hope he comes out of this OK..

 

I talked to his girfriend, Marsha, earlier today. His vital signs are strong but he is busted up pretty good. The organs will heal but the brain swelling could be an issue. The next few days are crictical. He is in the intensive care unit and is not allowed to see visitors. I am proud to call myself his friend and will remember him in my prayers.

 

Good to hear that his vitals are good.
I'll try to make it up there when visitation is allowed. please keep us updated!

Hate to see a fellow friend get hurt. I have met Shannon several times and is a outstanding guy. I hope the best for him and will keep him in my prayers. Get well man!

I received a message from Marsha last night that Shannon has been moved to a room. He's in 836. I still have no update on his status but I'm going to try to visit one day this week.

 

I finally had a chance to talk to Shannon's girlfriend Marsha today.. She sent me an email 6 days ago but it was on one of my old accounts..

Anyhow, Shannon is out of N ICU and in his own room (as Don have already mentioned). She told me that he will need some surgery done as his hip socket is distroyed from the accident. I'm thinking about stopping by on my way to Nashville next weekend. If any of you would like to join me, I think it will cheer him on a little bit.

 

UPDATE - 7-2-06

Everything went great and he is now in Room 465.
Give him a call if you can.

 

thanks for all the comments and thoughts about me guys. just so you know rx7dryver is my good friend J.R.. he lives just down the road from me and his rx7 project is at my house,i had already worked on it before the wreck and it still needs alot to be finished(which that kinda makes me feel sad that im not able to do it).
