S4. I have a spare BAC lying around and that's about it. Care to hook up a fellow Tennessean?

Well took the alternator off after getting a few second opinions. Went to Advanced Auto and let em test it 3/4 of the test runs yielded a bad/faulty diode, the first test revealed it was good... but im not argueing with a 3outta4 test failure. So my alternator is the cause of my non start issue.

I don't think an alternator can cause a non-start issue other than letting your battery drain. Have you tested your battery for voltage with a DMM?

Well its dark out and i havent gotten any closer to my goal of getting the T2 running. Though I did have a spare Alternator, im still checking for why shes not starting. Ive drained teh battery nearly dead so on teh charger it goes tomorrow, as well as pics that i have questions to...as I have a lil connector near the ECU that i have no clue what it does or why two wires go into it and deadends into what seems to be a sealed component of some sort...

I should be there Saturday, not sure which car I'll bring. At the moment, they both RUN! Incredible, isn't it?

For those of you who have been to the Dragon and think it's a crazy drive, check this one out.

Now my cars broke...

I got in today and my voltmeter went up to ~15.5v depending on engine speed. Anything over 15v will blow the ECU or other things really quick. This is after my gauge sat at ~12.4v for about 4 years. UGH!

Dude, you are too generous with money.. but if you want to drive that's cool. I think I finally scored a header.. the guy sent me the wrong picture but yeah.. I had to out bid someones 'dibs' to get it.. Tonight I'm supposed to be talking to a guy about building me a fibreglass box or give me tips on it.

Damn Jimi that road looks like hell >.>

Eric, if i drive ill replace teh fuel i know id consume faster than you would lol, but nice job on scoring a header and possible box.

Talked with hellbent this afternoon, hes in depending on teh time.

Rob... have you checked the alt out? if it suddenly spikes like that sounds like something in the voltage regulater, jerk it off, have a buddy run your *** to advanced or oreallys and have it tested on the bench unit, autozone will only tell ya if its good or bad not whats wrong.

How about 6 PM on Saturday guys? That would give us at least a couple hours of daylight.

For those who haven't been to a meet yet, don't be shy. Show up in whatever you can, take the bus if you have to. Just because your 7 can't make it/doesn't exist yet doesn't mean you're not welcome.
