Better yet... anyone who wants to bitch like a 15 year old girl, start a new thread in the lounge. Really. This is why our club and our region in general has such a crappy reputation. If you guys have a problem, you can PM each other or go on effing Jerry Springer. I'm about to ask the moderator to close this thread if this crap continues.

C-c-close the thread? :'( Actually nothing really happens in this thread anyway.. It's nice to have but yeah.. I wanna go rally racing.. That seems like where the fun is.

If anyone runs across some suspension let me know. I'm probably about 4 to 6 inches off the ground on stock.

I wish they still did actual Solo I rallycross. Word in the Subie forums is that they quit doing that here a few years back. But the "autocross on dirt" style does sound fun.

What kind of suspension are you looking for? Full-on coilovers or just some lowering springs and struts?

So im home, finally... ******* LONG trip... 18 total hours, 4 hours sleep, 8 gatorades and half a gallon of mountain dew. epic win.

Yeah no the FC gets 93, i think she likes it, she got 28 mpg out on the highway today. that was with boosting up hills too so im impressed, but shes still getting an SAFC xD

oh and a new window...... christ that was a long COLD trip... ******* couldnt get the window up... my friend and i spent 30 ******* minutes in the mall parking lot in Richmond KY trying to fix it... epic fail.

Damn dude... and you still didn't get the window? Ask these guys about me getting it back up in the parking lot at a local autocross. All you need is a phillips head screwdriver to take the door panel out. Still, 28 mpg in a TII is a FEAT.

I finally figured out the sunroof in the Subie. It has to be down to slide back, duuurrrf

So who's up for the Dragon tomorrow? I bought an MP3 player to plug into the tape deck because radio stations suuuuck. I'm loading it up with some driving music as I type this.

Oh, and small request Gensai... you should clean up that purple beast and take pics of it with the FD for us

sorry boys, all dragon'd out for a while. The leaves are starting to fall pretty thick up there, my bearings are shot, and tires aren't very happy with me, so my season of dragon slaying is at its end till next spring.

Heh... never had a problem with it draining the car while it's running. I know it'll kill the battery really quick with the engine off. That's why I set the fan to a higher temp, so it wouldn't run unless it was absolutely needed. The fan shouldn't even be running if you're just cruising on the interstate. That alternator might just be shot or on the way out. If you have to replace it, make sure you don't give them the dual pulley with the core.

Shibbles and bits. That fan has two settings FYI... it's on LOW right now. If you wire it to HIGH then it will probably suck the radiator right through it, as long as the battery doesn't explode first.

Hey, you know you were running 20 PSI on one rear tire in the Subie? The fronts were way off too... one was at 28, the other was 35. Good thing I corrected it before I hit the Dragon. I didn't have any understeer issues with it once I learned to power through corners. Odd how more power to the front wheels will pull the car around rather than cause it to understeer. Crazy AWD's. It's epic fun, but damn it needs some stiffer suspension and a few dozen more horses under the hood

That front e-fan doesn't do much... it's mainly there to cool the A/C evaporator or whatever the hell that's called. I've heard it come on at random, sometimes when the car isn't even warm. So you might be better off just disconnecting that one.

Maybe one day. For now I'll just enjoy it as a reliable daily driver. And maybe hit up a few autocross and rallycross events along the way...

Nah, those fans are probably battling for voltage, and the alternator is losing.

PWNED!

who got pulled over? xD

weird seeing my car with TN plates xD

oh right Jimi
i got a couple guys interested in the car, but seeing as your pretty dedicated to getting it back and stuff, i got kind of a deal.

if you can give me 1500 upfront, ill let you pay off the rest in payments, so at the very least i can get moved down there and set up, and you can get your car back.

He got both of us, but Cody got nailed a bit harder for not having insurance papers. He was also going faster according to the cop... even though he was right behind me...

We'll have to see about that. It'll probably be awhile before I can sell the first gen. It's hard to sell those things this time of year since they're not exactly winter cars. Who knows though. I won't hunt you down if you sell it before I can get the money.

Time for an oil change. FYI if you put that cheap non-synthetic stuff in that motor, it will probably spit it back out at you along with the apex seals. It's a bit spoiled. The Mobile 1 has always done me well, but Royal Purple and Redline are good stuff as well if you can find them for sale up there. I'd go with 10w30.
