so can i run this car on 87 or will i just blow ****?

OH P.S. i hate knoxville.
Shhhh, don't wave that pricetag around here!

I'm not sure what exactly I did to shut up the shrieking other than tightening up the hoses. They probably got loosened up a lot from all the crazy boosting that car has done this week.

Eh... I've never tried 87. It had no problem with 89, but 87 + cold air could cause a ping if it boost creeps a bit. So be careful. I wouldn't run 87 if you're going to boost it. Might be fine for the trip home though.

That Subaru has been through more forests than most Jeeps. I've already polished out some of those scratches though. I have a feeling this "daily driver" is gonna turn into another project, because I just can't leave a car alone. It's in my blooooood... anyone got an EJ20 for sale? Heh... heh....

if he wants to try to sue me over this i welcome it, in the end all that will happen is me geting my $400 back. the evidence that he refused to sign it over after i paid him is all over this forum.

Jesus, just file for a lost title.. And if it's a $400 car that apparently you have stripped stop going on about it. Also who cares if it was 10pm or 2 am that's still late. Not only late but it was most likely dark. I don't remember how I was told it was towed away but if it was done by a company then Josh had a loud *** diesel idling in his yard. Anyway, since you are so hellbent on crushing it that do just that and be quiet. Who the **** buys a car and leaves without a title?

Also I'm not saying either one of you are right. If you have held up to your end of the deal, whatever that may have been, then Josh should hand the title over. Especially to get rid of you once and for all, since he obviously don't like you; or repo it. And since I read that you bought the car and it wasn't what you was expecting you should have inspected it more or took it to a reputable place to have them inspect it if you couldn't do it. But $400 for a car you should have known that it would have issues if running at all.

Nah, cold start issues are low comp. It should fire up easily within 5 seconds or less. You might've cranked it too much and flooded it. If that's the case then you can pull the EGI INJ fuse in the engine bay, crank for 10 seconds, and then put the fuse back and start it up. But that should never be necessary. No worries, you'll get the hang of it.

i have already made an attempt to apply for a lost title, they refused to let me do it alone. they said josh had to be present w/ id on him. and yes, i have held my end of this deal up. josh was paid for that car months ago, but he has kept delaying and delaying to get me the title. and yes, he obviously hates me for no obviously reason, i have done nothing but try to be his friend over the past year and all he has done in return is be a complete *******.

You shouldn't need Josh to get the lost title thing.. From what I understand they just mail the previous owner of the title to see if he contests the change of title and if no contest then you default. That's how towing companies get abandoned cars. Which would basically be what this is. I'd guess. His car abandoned on your lot for a year or whatever. It's a lot of paper work this way though.. I was going to do it once but the car wasn't on my property. Anyway I'm not trying to start anything, Josh, I'm just providing information that is available online.

Since the day I bought it. I remember I panicked because I put gas in it on the way home from Kentucky and couldn't start it back up. You just have to know what it's going to do I guess. I just naturally tap the gas as I'm cranking it if I feel that it's not going to fire. But if you've been playing with the boost a lot or driving around in stop and go traffic, then it's a good idea to just go ahead and floor it before you start cranking. You'll get it.

I'd like to get me an fb or sa. I'd like to have it pretty clean and stock or reliability modded with perhaps fuel efficiency or a s5 engine in it.

I'd like a golden toilet.

I'm most likely going to sell the first gen after I replace the fuel pump.

Lemme count my change. I've already had interest in the first gen. As long as the Subaru doesn't explode or the bike doesn't kill me I should be able to.

scf? I'll want to look the car over first.. but I'm thinking after I get another car I'll see about starting the big project.. the vert.. dropping the engine and drive train and derusting and reinforcing the car and rebuilds and suspension and so on.. but this all will probably never happen.

as a note, imma try to get an SAFC on the TII and lean it out, plus a fuel shut off switch, and maybe an exhaust but we'll see.

I dunno man... first you're talking about running 87, and then leaning it out... I want it back with all apex seals intact!

The Subaru has been enjoyable thus far. I just have to see about getting some insurance on it.
