well technically the fc is my MOST reliable car to date so id rather not **** with it unless im replacing something asap. plus id like to have a real project car I can work a little at a time onn and not have to bust *** to put back together for work in the morning.

Besides, the mustang in question is brown, at least as far as I can tell. Its severely lacking a wash, the chrome bits are rusting, the generic solid style wheels you generally see on camaro's are starting to rust a bit as well, but the car oddly pulls it off... If I had to do anything to it it woul get a small lift kit and become a replica of the mustang from "Cherry 2000"

i'm with you on that, i'm about sick of their bullshit, they gave me 3 differnt calipers that didnt fit. i almost didnt make it out there last night b/c of them. try the place where i go man, he's alot cheaper and he can have your part the very next day if he doesent have it in stock. ron's imports on cherry st. i got my rotor for from him for only $15, advance wanted $25.

 

yeah, too bad money cant buy you some SKILL! Fortunately the only real damaged caused comes out to being alot of braket beating, find a new bumper and drivers fender and fog lights.

It still amazes me that that miata still runs at all the way that head ticks, the powersteering whines, and how stupid and unskilled you are. Do us all a damn favor jump off a ****** cliff to save us the hassle of having a repair bill again.

 

well if you really think i have no skill why dont you quit talking **** and take me up on a race in your widebody? the miata's are suposed to tick when they 1st start up, they all do it, even the 1.8s. and no, i locked up my brakes trying not to hit you guys, they locked up there breaks trying not to hit me. its not my fault derrick took the that corner too fast trying to pull away from me! i remember lane crossing three times...hitokiri did it in almost ever corner and still couldnt keep up. take my car w/o my permission again, i dare you. next time i wont be so cool about it.

Derrick- I may have taken that corner too fast, but YOU should have known your cars limits and not been showing off to the pregnant chick in your pos. I didnt appreciate having you behind me one bit, not after you passed up a line of cars just to 'keep up' with me, then to have you shotting all your lights off in the middle of the damned night. My better judgement should have told me to just stop the run right then but I didnt. Its not MY fault you thought it best to try and chase down my FC, I know most of its limits, and I admit I fucked that corner up because I didnt take into account the shitty tires and the cold surface temps. But YOU should have had no need to lock your pos up if you were driving within your limits instead of trying to keep pace with "MY" limits.

If you want to race the widebody you can just keep on dreaming. Its a drivable project that will be seeing more downtime soon enough for things related to its age and to cure problems associated with previous owners. Not only that but if friday night's minor run was any indication of your 'skill' I dont think he would even want to be within 500yards of you on any given road. Just because its a miata doesnt mean dick. Most of the guys who run them at auto-cross have already added quite a bit to suspension or motor work to make then quick, you cant even keep up with my NA in the straights, and cant even keep within your lane in a corner, and yes EVERYONE who was behind you watched your driving as much as mine and they all stated you were over the line more than you should have been.

Gensai's driving over the lines was his own choice, but he was back of the pack for his first run up the mountain and if I had better headlights I would have been running better lines and braking better.

As for 'taking' your car w/o permission....next time dont leave the keys in it, stereo blaring, parked in someones yard with your dumbass out riding with someone else. You're lucky all that was done was the thing got 'moved' to the back yard and parked there.

Oh yeah... I ended up not needing that clutch MC. I came home from work, popped the top bleed screw loose and some air came out. So I tightened it back down, gave it 20 pumps or so and it built up pressure. Seriously took less than 5 minutes. How long did we spend trying to bleed that sucker Cody?

So since the TII missed its opportunity to run the Dragon, I'm heading up there this morning for a sunrise run. Anyone who wants to join me, head up there and listen for the sounds of squealing tires and a howling turbo...

I woulda called but I figured you didn't want to drive all the way there from JC again. And it was the asscrack of dawn when I left.

We were talking top speed yesterday... I really think the TII could do every bit of 150 at least. I had it well up above 130 on the way over there today and it was still pushing hard when I backed out.

Tomorrow is looking good. I broke the car though. I'll PM you.

 

So apparently I broke 140, because I backed out just after I put the camera down. I really wish I'd used the flash for that. But I guess when you're trying to take a picture and drive that fast, you're lucky if anything comes out at all



What was left of those front tires didn't do too bad up there. They sure did make a lot of noise though.

Oh, I forgot to mention this morning's fatalities and injuries on the Dragon...

One squirrel was killed instantly, the other was just knocked shitless by whatever hung lowest under my car. It wasn't my fault though, both squirrels were lane-crossing

Also, I nearly sideswiped a damn turkey on the way back down from the Overlook, I **** you not.
