Heh, funny stuff. I remember there used to be an FC sitting on flat tires in another part of the neighborhood. It's been gone for awhile though. Apparently RX-7's make good pets.
man i never see RX-7...
i had my FIRST random encounter with an FD yesterday.... Vintage Red Touring with an R1 rear wing, looked great...
and then i saw a Red Vert parked...
and thats pretty much all the sightings ive had... besides walking out my front door :P

I walk out my door every morning and think, "Whoa, RX-7 meet going on out here." Not really... I usually just stumble into whichever car feels like starting and head to work. It's always cool to run into other obsessors. I'm guessing you weren't in the FD when you spotted those, were you?
[QUOTE=coneninja;8504294]For the Surrounding Knoxville Area!

Great Meet Guys!!!
I wanna thank those that came out, though it was put together in such short notice!
The meet point was great and the short cruise was pretty good!
We will definitely have future events! (Which We'll also have the kick-off RotorToss Event!)
And, I'm pretty sure we'll have pics soon. Jimi?

FD's are elusive creatures... every once in awhile, one will land at one of our meets, and then fly away before I can even get my camera out. I think the problem is that if they stay out of the garage for more than 30 minutes, they turn to stone.
lol you need a motor and my brother needs someone to do some welding....the ebay seats he bought wont fit, the mounting for the sliders is too narrow to fit in an FC so about an inch of steel needs welded to each slider mount to work right.

That red hood is what got you a ticket, Derrick! You compromised the stealth capability of your aircraft.
Hmmmm very true, though the officer could only see the *** of my car as I zinged down the pellesippi raceway, and it wasnt my liscence plate holder that got me....musta been the s5 tails then.

Brakes? We don't need no steenking brakes!
We're still trying to figure out a good time for the next meet I guess. Maybe later this month. I think there's an autocross toward the end of the month so that would be a good opportunity.

Might miss out on the next meet, need to get money up for tires/airdam and maybe pay a shop to swap my head out for me, gonna let the 7 sleep for a while until I can get a few more things for it.

I drove my first gen for over a week with no brakes. It makes life more exciting.
It is nice being able to drive the 7's year round. Just make sure to switch to a lighter weight oil in the winter. I ran 15w50 in the TII last winter and ended up wearing out the starter one week when it was down in the teens in the mornings. Having to warm the car up for like 15 minutes every morning isn't great for your already terrible gas mileage, either!
I'm already worrying just how much of a pain the bike is going to be to start up when it starts getting colder.

wait....why drive the bike in the winter? death wish much??
Ive yet to have a cold starting problem in my NA yet, and ive ran 20w50 Royal Purple nearly year round.
And its not a putting it to bed as in bad thing. Its a good thing as I can focus on gathering parts while saving money on fuel for the winter. I just got the oil changed in the Conquest, 10w30 castrol gtx from wally world and only set me back 30bucks with buying AAA batteries for the mp3 player. Sure beats the nearly $100 I spend for each oil change in the NA
