I will agree that Hondas, including Civics, are great cars. However, there's only one Honda that has better handling (arguably) than a 2nd or 3rd Gen, and that's the S2000.

i dont know, cause if they have better handling stock, the civics that is, then alot of them are just plain scared to drive. i mean that how i beat the civics i raced in my stock 84. on a straight away i was crushed but i could handle those turns tighter on back roads.

yeah, only honda that can hang with a rex is the s2k, theres very little tire under ANY honda save the S2K to keep enough grip for any suspension to do its job.

the only advantage is the power train. alot of civic drivers either dont know how to drive or have to much horsepower for the fronts to grab around acorner. most of them are just afraid of unstable fwd. if you have the right amount of power they can grab around a corner just as well. ask jimmy about the si that stayed on his *** on the triangle. its all in the driver. well 80 percent isnt that whay they say.

yes but the thing about hondas and all imports is that most of them are driven by 16 and 17 year old kids who think they are the **** and are tough.. but we all know they arnt. most of them are scared shitless to go over 120mph on the interstate let alone go around a corner and see what the limit of there car is.

i dont want to argu over it because frankly i dont care enough about it too. its just my opinion that most cars looked down upon are actually quite nice and very capable IF PUT INTO THE RIGHT HANDS. EVERY CAR IS LACKING IN SOME DEPARTMENT AND CAN BE IMPROVED UPON. even a lamborgini is lacking.

but if u took a 95 civic hatch or coupe and spent what u spend on your rx7. and learned how to drive the car really drive the car and set it up to have the rear kick out before the front it would be a pretty mean machine and would be able to hand most rx7 drivers there ***.

and i once read in one of those honda magazines that with very little mods the delslow can be made to out handle a 911 through the twisties(im not sure what there version of the twisites are though )

Actually ive spent relatively little in terms of performance upgrades, and nothing in terms of suspension mods. Only 'mods' ive done is removed all the power/electrical options, free'd my exhaust, and put on a cone hotair filter and installed a SAFC-II to get more mpg out of the overly rich NA settings.
