Do any of the Miami guys know 13bmaniac?

The OP of this thread:

https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-generati...00%24-1009283/

seems like he's vanished after taking payment on a big $$$ sale.

Any help is appreciated :icon_tup:

moosejaw 09-10-12 07:43 PM

Never heard of the guy?

limepro 09-10-12 07:51 PM

I wonder if the sale with Rich (zeroG) went through for an exhaust he was selling, that would be the best place to start.

limepro 09-10-12 08:00 PM

He has/had a silver fd3s running 600hp built by arzz in arizona, I have never seen his car in this area but he has had a ton of for sale threads, maybe someone can shed some light on this. This is also the 2nd set of the HID kits he has listed, other one was last year, it might just not have sold.

flaco 09-10-12 08:09 PM

do you know his name?

Daniel Barba i believe

I also noticed he sold a HKS TI exhaust and then bought another one in less than a year of each deal.
Kinda strange

Gringo Grande 09-11-12 07:32 AM

Dan WTF are you doing in Indiana dude? Thought you were in GA?

zeroG 09-11-12 08:53 AM

I've seen his name around here a lot, but I don't remember dealing with the guy. He has several people that he actually finished transactions with that you can see through his itrader feedback. Maybe you can contact them and see if they got a phone number for him.

moosejaw 09-11-12 11:47 AM

I came across this company through the address listed above on a florida corporation website
BARBA PHOTO ILLUSTRATION

1720 SW 82nd Ave Miami, FL 33155

limepro 09-11-12 12:22 PM

I live close to there if you want me to drive by.

Uleepera 09-11-12 06:04 PM

Wow... Talk about community :)

I'm the guy who bought the SakeBomb lights from him. Luckily I paid through PayPal for the lights and considering nothings arrived at IRP (my ship to address) I am a bit concerned.

However, I submitted a dispute through PayPal who has given him until the 20th to respond. Kinda stinks because I was really looking forward to those lights.

I figured based on trader score and the amount of time he's been here its legit, but I've sent multiple PMs, an e-mail, the forum post and contact through PayPal and received no response.

I don't think it's nessesary for anyone to drive over to him unless for some reason PayPal denies my reembursement. :) In which case I'll be in FL in Novemember. lol

I wonder what happened to him, seems odd with his history on the site that he just disappeared.

moosejaw 09-11-12 07:37 PM

Could be something happened like attacked by zombies while sleeping under a tree or shot by the police during labor day weekend festivities
Those things are known to happen in miami.

Either way youll win ,I just hope there's money in his account to get your money back.
I recently won a paypal dispute with the local douchebag on the supra forums. Threatened to leave $0 in the acct so they couldnt refund me. In the end, he wound up refunding me because he was getting lots of business on the paypal account and couldnt afford for it to close.

He gets his money back regardless of whether or not the other guy still has the funds in his paypal account. Paypal just gives that person a negative balance, so he can't do any transactions except deposit money to satisfy the negative amount. So he's safe either way.

He finally PM'd me today and said he mailed it ages ago and would provide a tracking number.

Anyone have any experience with DHL? I would have thought they would have been here by now.

limepro 09-12-12 08:35 PM

DHL is the largest world wide shipping company, pretty neat history on the owner if you read it. He moved to an island and took any virgin he wanted and fathered a ton of kids before "dying" in a plane crash. Many believed he faked his death as his life long goal was to escape paying taxes lol.

Uleepera 09-12-12 09:15 PM

Wasn't exactly the experience I was referring to but quite interesting none the less. Reminds me of a Howard Hughes type.

rogrx7 09-12-12 09:55 PM

who the hell uses DHL lol

MazdaSpeedDan 09-13-12 11:59 AM

Nobody uses DHL, hes probably lying his ass off again, which im sure is what it is.

G's 3rd Gen 09-13-12 02:27 PM

I've used dhl and never had a problem. Its been a couple years though.

Acc to wikipedia....
30 January 2009 DHL ends domestic pick up and delivery service in the United States, effectively leaving UPS and FedEx as the two major express parcel delivery companies in the United States

Limited domestic service is still available from DHL, provided that the packages are tendered to USPS for local delivery. NewEgg is one such company that uses this option as of May 10, 2011.
