Pre-Registration closes on May, 18th! If you PayPal after that, it will be $300. THERE WILL BE NO PAY AT THE GATE.

This event is NOT going to be a competition. THIS IS A PRIVATE DAY Each driver is allowed 2 crew members. Anyone else will be turned away at the gate.

Please keep this event private -- do not tell everyone you know, do not invite your whole family or your fleet of friends to come watch. We are able to conduct these days because they are extremely low key driver-based training sessions. If we continue to keep them that way, we will be allowed to continue to have them.

Again, we would like to stress that this event is open to all skill level drivers. We will have qualified instructors on hand to help with your technique, as well as car builders and crew mechanics to give pointers on car building and setup.

TANDEM!! TANDEM!! TANDEM!!

If you've got the background, and you fill out your petition, you might just get it!
Cage and firesuit required!

TANDEM PETITION

NOTES:

SA rated helmet is required! Because this is a racetrack; motorcycle helmets will not be useable

1. There will be a 40 DRIVER MAX. To make sure that everyone gets PLENTY of seat time. ONCE WE’VE REACHED THE 40 DRIVER LIMIT THAT'S IT.

2. ALL DRIVERS NEED TO ARRIVE AT 7 AM. If you are paid and do not arrive by 7AM, your registration will not be accepted. This will be 100% enforced.
3. We will be being very strict on being timely..that means...I say tech ends at 8:00, it ends at 8:00. We want everyone to get as many runs as possible!

4. Any goofing around, horseplay in the pit area and otherwise disrespectful behavior will NOT be tolerated and will result in expulsion from the facility with no refund.

5. General tech inspection guidelines --
a. Battery tie down -- you must have a strong battery tie down (preferably metal). Bungee cords are no good. Do not even bother getting in the tech line if your battery is not secured well. Battery boxes must be similarly secured.
b. Seat belts -- you must have a functional 3 (or more) point seat belt that is securely fastened.
c. Seat bolts -- make sure all your seat bolts are tight and present. You will not be able to drive with less than 4 bolts holding your seat to the chassis.
d. Lug Nuts / Studs -- you must have all lug nuts and studs per wheel. 3/4 or 4/5 lugs/studs fails tech. No exceptions.
e. Wheel bearings -- must not exhibit excessive play.

That's a of cash for a drift day on 300 feet of road course.

You can do two whole bike track days for that much.

(not to mention most of us have a M2005 helmet at most, not an SA rated one)

DGTrials.com 05-06-08 10:48 AM

Price Change!!!

Cost:
The track has approved special pricing for our event rental. The cost is around 1/2 of what we had originally expected.
We've made the decision to go ahead and pass the savings on to the participants of the event. If you were hesitant to do the event bc of the original price, this should no longer be as much of an issue. * hope *
The price is now $130 if you pre-register for the event and $180 if you choose to register the week of the event.

We would expect bikers to have M rated helmets, as that's all that's required for bikes. Plus, riding a motorcycle requires a much much larger eyeport than does driving a car, and M-rated helmets are typically designed for that.

As far as price goes (disregarding the price change) -- it's economies of scale. How many bikers run a road course for the day, and we're only having 40 drivers total. If you buy more cookies the cookies get cheaper, but your satisfaction with the cookies reduces significantly ;)

Anyone from this forum attending? I'm going up with my friend who'll be driving the E30 Beamer. Just wanted to see if anyone here signed up.

I might spectate since I live 45 minutes from the track.

Edit: Nevermind, no spectators, that sucks balls :(
