Also interested in the harness bar option. Currently in the market to order, like the look of everything except running the harness to the strut.

So the plan is to design a harness bar with 2 bends in it. The ends will have 3/4 rod ends that use 1/2 bolts. Im then going to triangulate a 1" swedged tube connected with rod ends to adjust it. It should be pretty trick! Im then going to eliminate at least two if not all of the 1 1/4" braces at the top. I think it looks cleaner and reduces material and labor cost..

The bar is 1 1/4" diameter
Hey, if you guys just want a simple 2 bender welded on harness bar made out of 1 1/2 or 1 3/4, we can offer that for an additional $175.
I've already done that for a couple of you. I can take orders for that right now..

Would you be willing to run this design by SCCA and NASA to see what they say? I know there is a an older thread talking about if this cage would pass their requirements or not.
I already have the cage, so picking up the harness bar components and never having to worry about upgrading the cage again (unless going full weld in) would be a perfect.

I don't mind doing that. Id like to get a little further with the design. They may not like the tube sizes or the single brace design. I have scissor like X-brace that I also had in mind for plan B if this isn't going to be enough. It requires a cnc machined part to make it all work.
The part still needs some more work but you get the idea.

I was thinking maybe another diagonal on the driver side would add a lot of strength and look more symmetrical.
I left a message with one of SCCA's local reps. I haven't heard back yet. Ill try again tomorrow.
