Any chance we will have these under our trees this year, or is it looking like after the new year?

I want to run a pnematic pre-turbo system in the engine bay but I was trying to work out how I could fit a high volume header tank for long track sessions, one of these with a washer pump to top up one in the engine bay would be great. Will these remain a stock item after release?

Apologies for leaving this thread unattended! We've been posting updates in the OTHER thread over here:

So originally the answer on this was going to be "no". BUT, I think SakeBomb is going to step up and offer this as a service to those that buy a kit.

As for the stock plastic piece trimmed - I assume you mean under the car? I don't have any info on that, but I will bug SBG about it.

Soon. Last SBG told me they are in production.

No, sorry. Santa is a bit backed up, full story with ETA here:

I understood like, 1/2 of those words...

As for availability, they should remain available albeit, at a higher price tag. Right now is the cheapest they will ever be.

Oooooook guys!

I just wanted to chime in and share some news! We got our second batch of samples with the most recent design changes and things are looking GOOD.

All the updates we requested happened and we are DONE with noodling. No more updates, no more delays. What you see above IS the tank you will be receiving.

In case you haven't been following all the updates, this latest round added:

- Drill guides to the bosses (we had concerns over non-centered nozzle/sensor placement causing leaking)
- Cleaned up fill neck
- Revised placement on one sensor boss to clear interior panels
- A second sensor boss down in the sump

That's it. No more. Finito. We are now moving into full on production.

Additionally, we sent one of the prototypes out into the world to get some feedback and Bryan Nickell (you know him as "the guy from BNR") was kind enough to install and test the tank in his car...

SakeBomb Garage GB: Water Injection / AI Rear "Euro" Tank Pre-Order - Group Buy-lvnufzz.jpg

We gave it to him with no instructions or conditions and he managed to install it flawlessly. The end product is something we are all super proud of.

So, when will yours be in hand? It's looking like February. But we will know more once production has wrapped and we have a tracking / bill of laden number.

All this is to say... THANK YOU. Thank you to all of you. Thank you to the RX-7 community. Thank you to SakeBomb Garage for their support.

Well... No water lines would be included with the *tank* - but they would be included with the *kit*. The kit would be offered in a number of configurations, but basically, if you buy the pump the nozzle and water lines would be included. Make sense?

yeah i purchased the AEM kit with the tank, so your tank will use the same boss as the AEM tank? just want to make sure i dont need to order anything else before i go to install.

You and me both.

Just a quick update, these are in production. Molds are done, plastic is being poured, shipping is all arranged.

Here's what we're up against right now. Chinese New Year is February 5th. Everything we've been doing timetable-wise is to have these done and on the boat before then. So far, so good. However, the factory closes January 22nd in order to give everyone time to make it back home to their families and doesn't reopen until end of February. We currently have pickup scheduled for January 18th.

I'm crossing my fingers and the factory is doing everything they can to make sure these are on that boat. I'll continue to keep you guys posted.

Yes the Chinese new year really makes things more difficult. Just about all of factories seize production as many workers go home to their provinces. To make matters worse, many never come back as they opt to stay home instead. Here's hoping that it makes on the boat

I just got confirmation that they left the factory and are en route to port - they should arrive within a couple days. Once they hit the port, I should receive another update when they are loaded on our ship. The current ETA for being in port in Oakland (closest port to SBG) is February 17th. From there, it will take a week or two to get them out of customs and to SakeBomb Garage. From THERE, my plan is to fly out to Fremont and help Heath and the crew unload, box, package and ship these things.

So in the US in February, shipping beginning of March seems like how it's going to go down.

Tanks are at the port. Just got confirmation.

I also heard a rumor that SakeBomb will have brackets for the pumps very soon.....

Seriously though. Thanks for all your support and patience guys. Bringing this idea from concept to reality has been an incredibly fun learning experience.

I'm assuming nothing will be shipped until the pump mounts come in stock, since so many people will want one of those shipped at the same time

We got confirmation the shipment should arrive in port (Oakland) on February 17th. After that, it's a week or two to clear customs and be delivered to SakeBomb Garage.

From there, it's a matter of boxing up 100 tanks, generating shipping labels, etc, etc. Soooo, I would *expect* these to start shipping in about 3 weeks? The week of March 4th seems conceivable that tracking numbers start going out.

Nah. It's really just a matter of having the tanks arrive. If the tanks had to be shipped separately from the pumps/install kits - so be it. That said, I believe the brackets ARE back from the powder coater. Which means they can be shipped with the tanks.

I have received my tank, looks and feels excellent! No pump bracket though, must be coming at a later date which is fine as there is still tons of snow on the streets here in Canada.

Thanks again, Matt and everyone at Sakebomb!

Thanks again, Matt and everyone at Sakebomb!
Thank YOU!

But that's a bummer. Your order probably should have been held to ship everything together. Just got pushed out the door in the mix I'm sure.

E-mail info@sakebombgarage.com to make sure it all gets sorted.

An e-mail should have been sent to you regarding it. If you didn't get it or can't find it, email: info@sakebombgarage.com and they will get it sorted.

ALSO, we forgot to update this thread (problem with multiple threads... sit tight and I will copy/paste the update from the other thread here).

Well guys. That was an adventure. We loaded an obscene amount of tanks in an extremely short amount of time. So many, that we had to request a one ton USPS trunk to handle it all - and the FILLED it!

So that means, if you ordered a tank it’s en route. There are some exceptions on tank/bracket combos as we’re await some hardware - but those will go out early next week.

ALSO, if you are in need of something to fill these - SakeBomb Garage is doing a special on Boost Juice!

The coupon code for the Boost Juice on the SakeBomb Garage website is:
2for1boost

This gets you TWO bottles of BOOST JUICE for one. Just pay the shipping.

HUGE thanks to Alex, Brian, Christian, Heath and Travis over at SakeBomb Garage for their hardwork, hospitality and patience getting this project from concept to reality.

So question for all of you. What "fittings" are you using to tap into the tank to feed the pump? I want to start the install in the next few weeks.

If you can wait - I know SakeBomb is going to have a complete install guide posted online / e-mailed out any day now.

There's should be a list of recommended tools / bits for properly tapping the tank for sensors/nozzles.

That said, I believe the guide will be built around the AEM kits. If you are running Aquamist, Snow Performance, Devils Own, etc, etc - it might be best to consult them for exact sizes / recommended tools.

That'll be nice. I have an AEM kit with a tank but after I saw this I just waited. This was a much better solution honestly. I'll end up buying the bracket also.
