These lights look awesome, and I'm definitely interested in a set.

What is the group buy price? Is that the $1,195 listed on the website, or is it $150 off of that?

I have a brand new set of SBG headlights with the 35w ballast which I am selling. I'm funding a new project and want to divert funds. The lights are new and have only been taken out of the box to admire. I am asking $1000 plus shipping. Ready to ship and no wait.

Respectfully,

wrong thread... this belongs in the for sale section.

I have had my set of lights for just over a year. There are great but are better now with different bulbs.
Will discuss later in post.

Had only one problem and it was with my car. It was purchased new in June 1992, made in March 92, with about 110 miles on it. Never damaged except for hail and never in a wreck. For some reason the left (driver side unit) tilted upward about 15 degree on the left side. I had to modify the left side pivot hole in order to lower it about 3/16 inch. A friend with the same lights on his 92 FD plans to come over as his all also not shining level. Maybe an early production problem.

After reading many reviews, I took out my Philips 85122+ bulbs and installed the highly rated OSRAM 66240XNB Night Breaker Unlimited XENARC bulbs. There are an improvement to my sight. Slightly brighter, slightly narrower beams, more well defined center beam with longer range. The old Philips seamed to be shine too much to the sides.

That's really odd how you had to change the bulbs out... it might be a specific model build. 92's are pretty early.

For the record, I've had my headlights for 2yrs now, no problems. They light up the road very nicely. Great job guys!

Now for those brakes....

Has anyone ordered these headlights on or BEFORE Jan 10 and not received their order? I ordered directly through the SBG website and wasn't part of the group buy. I've received updates after querying SBG for updates and have been given multiple imminent ship dates; e.g. "end of Jan", "early Feb," "end of next week" which was two weeks ago. These have all blown right by without a peep unless I ask for updates.

I know their region had issues with rain, but these updates regarding soon-to-be ship dates have been in the midst of all of the rain and flooding. I wouldn't have a problem if I was told March from the get-go, but these "next week", "next week", "next week" so-called updates get old and seriously erode trust and confidence in one's company.

I am so excited and cannot wait to receive my set. From what I understand they are experiencing delays due to bad weather.

I definitely understand your frustration, I know they've been extremely busy trying to knock these lights out.

It's a custom-made labor intensive product that you really can't order anywhere else---- your patience will be rewarded with an extremely kick-*** set of lights, you can quote me on that

We sent emails to our customers explaining the situation (And we're very sorry if anyone was not brought up to speed) , the jist of it is this: We operate out of the SF Bay Area, and during January and February California was being hit by an unprecedented series of severe storms. We at times lost access to our shop due to road closures, experienced multiple power outages and experienced some minor flooding.

The HID kits are an extremely labor intensive product, and the extended delay came from not just a lack of access and needing to physically clean up our work space, but also needing to triage the myriad of problems with shipments and vendors, who were dealing with the same problems that we were. We are now aiming to have the HIDs painted by Friday, so that we'll be finishing them up and shipping them by late next week.

We're very sorry for the inconvenience and frustration associated with this situation. It's been a rough start to the new year, but now that things have dried out and we've gotten everything cleaned out, operations are back to normal, and we don't expect any further problems. We also still have a couple of unclaimed units in this build, so they're available if anyone is interested.
