Is that seriously a sport?

MikeO 08-25-06 02:30 AM

to be honest, i think that is probably the most boring thing i've ever seen done with a car... ever.

Do you guys pay to do that?

spandy 08-25-06 03:01 AM

So, what's the point of doing all that beside burning off perfectly good tires for no apparent reason?

MESDUP 08-25-06 06:50 AM

yes it is a sport...... and dont you guys like the exhilerating feeling of doing a burnout.
better than illegal drag racing beep beep beep and go nonsence.
what do you guys do in your rotaries? go to the shop to buy some milk?

MESDUP 08-25-06 06:56 AM

Thats some boring stuff...

RevUp13b 08-25-06 07:42 AM

...

MESDUP 08-25-06 07:47 AM

I find watching grass grow is pretty boring because it takes too long to notice any changes in the length.
Now that ive explained what is boring, enlighten me on how doing burnouts is boring, have you ever tried one before?, every person that i have come accross that has done one has not said once that it is boring............................................ ........

ihavetwins 08-25-06 10:37 AM

burning out is fun yes when u have a tire sponsership or u have more money then god to play with. illegally doing dougnut once or twice is kinda fun. paying to do something i can do in a parking lot is not fun. FACT driving the local mountain with several of your friends thats fun.

Whizbang 08-25-06 10:44 AM

wow. that just made drifting seem....useful.

MikeO 08-25-06 03:13 PM

Yeah that's definitely boring. You can do a burn out in a parking lot. I've done them before... it was kinda fun for like 2 mins but i'd rather go cruise around some backroads with some friends or race someone... deff more of an adrenaline rush than just doing burnouts. The only cool thing i saw in those videos was the 360 that one of you guys did. But after that it just got boring again.

I don't see how it's fun to pay to enter a competition and just do burn outs in your car in front of other people and listing to the load annoying screeching of the tires.

You guys must have it pretty rough in new zealand if that's what you call fun. =/

you guys must be pretty no where in the states if you think its cool to head out with all your mates to go race people, hate to see the look on your face when you accidently kill them all.......priceless, but thats right you must be all dale earnhardts....oh wait hes dead isnt he?.
ah well, it must have something to do with what direction your toilet water flushes, because everyone down here enjoys it because they get to see lots of hot girly's , mean cars , and people that have enough balls to smoke it up in front of a couple of thousand people rather than in a parking lot in front of several strangers that think they are being typical "boy racers"

oh and by the way we actually have a drag day dedicated to rotaries, which means no other cars can enter......we arnt tolerent of letting pistons mix with rotaries unlike you guys as your all for putting "ls1's" in rx7s it seems.
and another thing..............THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS AN FB, its either a series 1,2,3 or its an SA22C .

my $0.02 worht

why would you wanna do a burn out after a run down the 1/4?

IanS 08-26-06 07:04 AM

its only fun doing burnouts in your friends driveway when they are either sleeping, or are screaming at you to stop.

91verty 08-26-06 03:58 PM

isnt this the same place where that guy did like the 5 minute ''burnout'' until the motor blew. Now i have to say that was fun to watch for about 30 seconds after that it was boring. Now everybody has opinions and i am just saying that theres only so much you can do with any car in that much limited space.

I have seen vids in south america where they do something similar but at much higher speeds like the 360's and all.

MikeO 08-26-06 04:53 PM

You're a fucking idiot, mesdup.

Brilliant, you're relating NASCAR to street racing. But I guess you're right about one thing, nobody ever died doing anything like that in the vids. Unless there was just too much smoke and they died of smoke enhalation or possibly couldn't see where they were going and ran into a wall? HEY! That's a more likely annalogy than the street racing thing.

You say that like not just anybody could do that infront of "a couple of thousand people". Do they have like a special license you have to get to do burnouts? Can you become a pro at it? That must be cool.

Thank you!

What the hell are you talking about MESDUP, I mean, are you serious? "Balls" to do a burnout? You just hold the gas and the brake, what the hell is ballsy about that? Burning out is fun for the first 2 minutes, than we prefer to MOVE!

NissanConvert 08-28-06 10:11 PM

Here's what "Top Gear" says about burnouts:

Top Gear- Burnouts

MESDUP 08-29-06 06:53 PM

ohhh lol i knew that would get you all going lol

yeah go the duurrty south lol

http://img83.imageshack.us/img83/536...allee01dj5.jpg

you all were just expressing your opinions as was i, no need to get offended, i was only saying that the rotary community down here is a whole lot diiferent to you lot up there

are you thinking of the blue rx7? no that is at champion dragway.....on the track, at the rotary nationals

no_name 08-31-06 09:58 PM

I enjoyed teh videos.... but I would much prefer a pireted drive throught the mountans with friends acting as chasers, ect lol.

The best part about owning an Rx-7 is watching your buddies Nissan 300 get smaller and smaller in the rear view lol.

Jesus, you're a fucking idiot.

Rx7club isn't "for" putting LS1s in Rx7s in the least though, and there is an FB. Read up a bit on...well, everything, before trying to act smart. Otherwise, you might just look like an idiot. Oh wait.

But that's just my 2 cents "worht".

MESDUP 09-04-06 03:06 PM

for one you can fuck up you cock stain.
and two, the chassis number is not fb its sa, so how do you get that its an fb??
and three, nice one for picking out a spelling mistake. good for you . you are the man.
please feel free to spell check any of my other posts, in fact you might aswell fill it in with capitals, fullstops , commas etc since you like to really read in to what someone has said.

Cr3pnD3aTh 09-05-06 09:51 AM

lol... how does it feel to get crushed on your own thread?

DCrosby 09-05-06 10:43 AM

I think the "Top Gear" Video said it all.....

Whizbang 09-05-06 11:24 AM

we has SA22's here for two years, then it became the FB in 1981, then FC in 1986, then FD for two years, now the FE (rx8).

roootary 09-05-06 02:47 PM

rx8 does not have a FE chasis code.. its more like SE3blabla..

andyfc3s 09-07-06 01:06 PM

I don't understand the need to attack someone in his own thread. He wasn't forcing opinions on anyone or talking shit about america he was just posting vids of a burnout comp thats all, which we have here in the states. Your all trying to sound all smart and your just making yourselves look like a bunch of morons that just want to start an argument. Flame me all you want for expressing my opinion I don't care because at the end of the day I'm still right.

SayNoToPistons 09-07-06 02:07 PM

chassis code is SE3P and body Code is FE... as opposed to SA22,FB3S,FC3S,FD3S. its an RX8... not a rx7.
