Forgive my newbness, but how would you get the old bearing (if possible) out?

riceburner1r2001 10-12-06 03:08 AM

the best way to put n a bearing is too keep the bearing cold

If you notice how the bearing is pressed into the rotor with a press.

Well, if you turn the rotor around, you use a press to punch out the rotor bearing the same way it was punched in.

Now you have to flip it around, and push it out the other side because of the tab thats in the rotor and the rotor bearing. If you kept, pushing the bearing through the same side it was pushed in, you would damage the rotor bearing surface, and destory the bearing.

So in short, flip it around, and use a bench like in the video to push it out.

sweet watched both of em. May I suggest that you close the door during filming. I was counting jets taking off the whole time

Nicely done. It was great to have the close ups done when he would announce another part. This guy seems very clean-cut and professional. His workbench looks very clean too :) I look forward to more videos.

Hes useing spyder gear on the press on the top of the bearing press tool! Look after the bearing is in he takes it off! LoL
