My Flashing LED Tail-Brake Lights

I still have the inner flashing LED tail-brake lights to install. Looks ok so far though :icon_tup:, I turned on the turn signal for speed differential comparisons.

i dont know if thats going to be legal on a car in your state?i was going to do something similar except with the third brake light only,as far as i know it can flash however you want it to except in suck ass cali where its limited to a certain rate

They're not. I bought them from a company in Florida and they forewarned me, I signed a disclaimer before I bought them. So far I have been good, a few police rode behind me from the stop signs and lights, but they didn't sweat it.

What is the point of this?

It kind of sucks.

There's no point, just thought I'd share, like everybody else on the site that shares things about their RX7, or RE powered car.

Ha ha ha!! Good one, because the sales person said it's the same type of lights the law enforcement and ambulance use. I actually got the idea after watching an episode of Live Sockets.

No big deal, I don't sweat the small stuff. Seems like everybody has an opinion about something no matter good, or bad it is.

Thanks man. I'm dodging the big ticket everyday. I keep a two sets of regular LEDs in my trunk just in case I get pulled over and they tell me to fix it, or get a ticket.

Looks like a garbage truck. Congratulations. :icon_no2:

I have to admit, i'm confused.

S4 Vert 01-22-13 09:19 PM

Ha ha ha!!! Good one.
I get flack from V8 guys (not because of the LED's) about owning an RX7, they call an RE a "Retard Engine" so to get flack from RX7 owners too is nothing. This site is supposed to be about unity for RX7 owners, but so far I see it's about putting down RX7 owners.
No worries on my end, keep the hate coming .

I know in WA State, it is illegal to have any red, amber, or blue flashing lights or any color in between without expressed written consent by a specific code or law. Progressive lighting like the mustangs is allowed, but no flashing lights.

southsidecox 01-23-13 09:33 PM

the third brake light can flash,in fact many oem vehicles had them in the 90's-200?i think they didnt show any real reduction in rear end collisions so maybe they werent worth the extra cost, motorcycles tend to still have them, even setups like the op's,guess they have more leeway due to being more susectible in a collision

lights

Looks cool as long as there's not an epileptic driver behind you!
But hey to each his own.
